Actually I´m not that new to dramas, I have been seeing the for over a year but I didn't see much yet ( and my list isn't even completed yet... ) :)
I started to watch them because some of my friends presented me to that world and I took a huge interest in it ^.^

wow! we have a revolted person against the dramas whit dramas here! But: I must agree. It's kind of tiring to always watch all that drama whit so much plotting and scheming... Well: but that is what the most of the world likes nowadays :(

You mentioned "Rooftop Prince" as an example, I didn't see it but as you described it it's not a very good drama xD

Anyway, stopping whit THE dramas:I'm about to see "A Gentleman's Dignity"! Is it good *.* ?

PS:. I'm currently watching "Coffee Prince" and I like it SO much!

Now, moving forward to U-kiss: I already heard some music of them ( although I didn't have much time for it) And I liked them VERY much! I will make time to hear more of them, but by all means: I loved 0330! It's such a cute and sad melody... It pass the feeling of pain and at the same time joy... It made me explode! Thank you for the advice! :)

My interests are similar to yours. I also like to watch Asian dramas and hear to Asian music but I also like, very much, to see animes and read mangas ( only Japanese though...) xD
Non Asian I like to hear American band ( my favorite is nickelback) and I like reading/writing ( in reality it's my passion xD ). Speaking of which: I'm going to participate in a contest of creative story's :)

About the sport or fighting ones: I don´t like them very much, I mean, I don't like them if they don't have romance. I put romance in the first place of my list. :)

As for me, I like japan too, very much! That was the only country that I liked since I watched my first anime! but that feeling disappeared as soon as I learned about other's cultures :) Don't worry it's only a temporary syndrome XD

About your feeling like you are 18 years old: believe me, don't rush it. Nowadays the kids say that often, but sometimes it's a little awkward, because they don't know everything behind that age ( I'm telling you by my own experience)...

It's not like I'm treating you like a kid or something! Never! I know the feeling to be treated like that and I know that it's unpleasant so I will never do it. It was only an advice xD

to be honest I have seen 3 of those dramas ( Liar game, Don Quixote and Meitantei No Okite) Although I liked very much meitantei no okite, my favorite is liar game, and his rule is just prefect there!
