I’ve finished watching it, so here’s my thoughts:‎Song Weilong:‎I’ve never watched his performances…
Where’s the whole fragrance aspect of the story? Why didn’t they talk about it at all? They should’ve explored it in much more depth to actually live up to the title. Instead, they kept focusing way too much on Yecha, and even when they did talk about Yecha, it was mostly through flashbacks rather than actually telling his story properly and showing where everything came from.

I’ve finished watching it, so here’s my thoughts:
‎Song Weilong:
‎I’ve never watched his performances before, though I’d seen him around. I didn't particularly care for his character in this drama because he felt too flat and distant. His emotional range remained quiet, solemn, and taciturn, almost as if his character was trapped in constant sadness. I also noticed that his character showed very little forward growth, likely because the story kept flashing back to his past as a demon. It would have been better to drive the narrative forward so we could actually see his emotional development, which feels like a missed opportunity. If his character had taken a dark turn, I think the impact would have been much stronger. Another thing I disliked was how the plot kept reducing him to a helpless, loyal puppy figure, that dragged on for too long. Overall, he would have shined much more with a better-written role. Honestly, this script made me really dislike him. Sorry to his fans if it offended y'all.

‎Ju Jingyi:
‎I really loved her role right up until the point where her dynamic with Song Weilong’s character fell apart due to that misunderstanding. Her character's emotional logic suddenly felt irrational, as if it took a complete step backward. It wasn't that her acting was bad, but her character’s decisions toward the end had me furrowing my brow repeatedly. That's the problem. I think this character deserved much better writing-written with actual emotional complexity. She might not match the male lead or second male lead in physical strength, but her intelligence was her main selling point. I honestly wonder if the writer forgot who her character was in the beginning vs. the end, because the shift felt completely contradictory to me. Overall, Ju Jingyi delivered a solid performance, but the script and the character... what a huge shame.

‎Zhao Huawei:
‎His character had the best growth in the entire show for me. The extreme shift in his emotions made the contrast crystal clear. I feel his character had the best growth in the drama-the writing, the emotional range, and the overall transformation were great. This character was the only one who truly matured, while everyone else felt stagnant. He was written in a way that genuinely made you hate him. I don't know what others think, but I believe his material was vastly superior to Song Weilong’s.

‎As for the other production elements, I won't dive into them because I thought they were fine as they were. The real issues lie in the writing and the utterly careless editing.

‎If the screenwriter had provided better scripts with actual character growth for everyone—including the leads—it would have been so much better. I secretly suspect the writer was particularly fond of the second male lead, haha, and the editor clearly favored him too.

‎Ju Jingyi deserves much better roles. I really like her, but the script for this drama just didn't sit right with me. The writing for this drama truly had me 🤔🧐😱.

The interaction between Lanya and Jiang Lifei is quite interesting. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve watched 'In Blossom' before, but seeing them together in this show feels a bit strange but fascinating.

Do the capitalists even realize that this drama is a hit because of the actors, not the script? Even with such famous stars, it took quite a while for the heat index to hit 10,000. If they recast the whole show or even just half the cast it’s definitely going to be a loss. Especially with a CP this popular, don't they plan on building on that success? What do you guys think? 🤔

Based on the preview of Episode 25, if I'm not mistaken, it's mentioned that Jiu Ying sent Lu Wuyi to be Ji Ling's 'Destined Match.' This means Lu Wuyi is bound to love Ji Ling more than anyone else. To anyone who insulted her, come out and apologize right now!!

The last 8 episodes will mainly focus on Jilu’s screentime. JJY is the main lead, but TJR is her CP and will…
Feel sorry for them though

which part made you cringe? what exactly?
It was that scene where LWY talked about the moon, and JL just grabbed her hand, pressed it against his chest, and started saying those WEIRD, NONSENSICAL LINES😂😂😂

oh my! A few days ago when Siba released that statement, yall was complaining and swearing they’d never tune in. But today, as soon as a new rumor drops, yall fall for it hook, line, and sinker—like they’ve completely forgotten what happened. Seriously? If it doesn't air this time, I really hope there isn't another massive wave of hate toward Jujingyi or a huge backlash against her. It’s exhausting. People need to manage their expectations for once. 🙄

I think we can forget about this drama until Ju Jingyi's lawsuit is settled. Youku is almost confirmed to air…
Whatever, I'm just waiting for the distribution license now.
