You know where the problem lies? They advertised it as “dual cp” which increased expectations. I myself started watching it because of Gao Tu. But it’s okay for me now since I have been Hua Yong’ed

I am taking your comment in a neutral constructive way. Yes sometimes they are appeared to be stiff and awkward but I will blame poor direction for that. Except for SWL actor (Ocean Jiang) who is by the way new to acting), all 3 of them are talented actors who have proved them from time to time. Especially LiPeiEn (GT) has proved himself to be an incredibly talented actor despite his limited screen presence.
If you ask me, I think the show got more interesting from ep 10

I think people are more interested in seeing his pregnancy journey (as written in extra chapters of the novel) and worried that we might not see that

In the novel SWL used the adjective “utterly inexperienced” to describe the omega he ended up in bed with (chap 38 if I am not wrong) which made me wonder if he had done “it” with any other beta (since he absolutely despises omega)

Nah it doesn’t. I love this show, I do but the rating is okay and matches the editing, acting and direction.

Actually among all the four characters, Gao Tu is my favourite. I understand his side too. Gao Tu started a lie because of his parents and then found himself unable to come clean because he fears that the moment he will announce his omega identity, he will lose Wenlang forever.

If Gao Tu was indeed a beta and had loved SWL the same way and didn’t lie about having an omega partner which invoke jealousy in SWL and made him more harsh towards GT, I wonder how things would turn out between them.

Because he blindly trusts Gao Tu. In this aspect I sympathise SWL cause the friend he thinks can never lie to him has actually been faking the whole identity

Sheng Shaoyou is a playboy who doesn’t know what love is. The fact that he had 32 exes and the longest relationship he had lasted only 6 months - speaks a lot about his personality. What Hua Yong doing is making him attached to him, so he (SSY) cant just leave him and continue to miss him even if he does (leave). Sure Hua Yong could have just appear in front of him, pursue him as an enigma, I don’t think that would have worked. As Hua Yong said, he wants SSY’s love, not his gratitude. Manipulation is the only way to win over someone like SSY with attachments issues.

Although I would have run away from any person who shows even the slightest personality of Hua Yong, I can’t believe I just defended his actions here .. HY charm has made me crazy 😂
