He even told Linlin about his senior who sacrificed his life for Ruan even tho he had a daughter and fam waiting for him.
All those parts can't be just stories created by Ruan but all had emotional effect on Ruan

No u got me wrong. l'm not mixing novel with series. In novel remember at final part where Nanzhu and Linlin got separated and Nanzhu did have fight with all the ghost, monsters he once fight before and there was multiple seniors who helped him in this part tho he can be safe. Sorry l don't remember exactly the chapters but probably was ch 136-138 where Ruan mentions his senior first but later Linlin goes to see him at night and he also witnesses how Ruan being cute toward his seniors as a teenager. Ruan wasn't even faking his kindness to his seniors. Even there was a WC scene one of female senior of Ruan helps them and Ruan starts teasing her about how she is still single. All those happens with real Ruan's feeling. If Ruan didn't even had meet with those seniors how possible he can even get this nice relationship with them? Also at 10th door he lost his senior which happened in the beginning of the book when Linlin just arrived to Obsidian. He even couldn't talk about this event bc how he was deeply sad for his lost. It doesn't make sense for all senior part to be created by Ruan. His fam background is okay bc he never showed any emotion toward any of his fam member but he did was kind to his seniors who helped him in door world when he turned to human. Ruan can create memory as a background but he can't imply the emotion in their heart too. Even his sworn brother in real world remembered him but still was close to Linlin bc Ruan isn't actually his sworn brother but a memory created by Ruan.
That is why l'm saying his door story since 1th door to Linlin did actually happen, he didn't fake this part.

Oh that actually makes sense bc l couldn't exactly understand how possible he can take a human form for Linlin even tho Linlin didn't even started his first door yet. Before entering to first door you have to go through some stages (like linlin cat started getting irritated by him even tho he didn't enter the door yet). Possibly Ruan as a god who has upper hand over did saw Linlin since first sign started to show up and he become human for him bc his light's brightest caught Ruan's full attention.
Like you showed the part about his memory, he didn't even had anything before obsidian but he really did meet with people in his 1th door, that senior who helped him to enter obsidian but died later. Even his other seniors who were there to help him at 11th door from other monsters. Ruan was even teasing one of his senior in WC about how one of his senior were actually liked her but she still refused to see his feeling while saying she is busy. Even Linlin mentioned how actually cute Ruan is as a teenager with his seniors unlike current Ruan who is cold. All memory before door world was created by him but since 1th door he entered he lived all of them himself
That was possible in door world time work different than real world tho when he took his first human form he probably started his human life since 1th door until Linlin entered, it gave Ruan enough time to have all obsidian adventure in door world to get his human form ready to meet with Linlin and even without his memory Linlin still attracted him again
Bc it's not possible for him to have all those memories without actually living with them. He cared for twins, he trusted Chen Fei, he cared for his seniors even tho they were already died and last one died in 10th door even tho Linlin were already in his life. Possibly Ruan got into the game when Linlin had first sign of door world in real world. Also that is why Ruan had high knowledge about door bc he did enter to many all through those years to have experience and more knowledge

l did read that extra too, what l wanna say l think he actually was in the game even before meeting with linlin. He did know people which he did emotionally cared for them too in door world, people who dead in door with him his seniors and they were one who helped Ruan in 11th door and Ruan was literally soft toward them, it can't happen if that was just fake back story created by Ruan. Even when he lost his close senior in 10th door at the beginning he was literally emotionally down for that lose and didn't want to talk about that for time being.
He was in the game too like others and played this game with them but at the sometime when he meet with linlin his full purpose changed.
Only part l can't directly understand is when he was beside Linlin's bed he changed his from shadow to linlin but at the end he formed his current Ruan form.
Possible even tho he was playing he was also stated that he observed his favorite flower (linlin) in the garden (door world) and when he catch his full attention he meet with him in the 1th door (actually in 12th door)
(l literally can talk about this story without getting bored)

Oh l thought Ruan meet with Linlin in 12th door by chance. Ruan was a fair god and all rule he created applied on himself too so he made himself forget everything and play the game fairly even for dead and by chance he meet with linlin and linlin catch his attention with the brightest light around him and his personality which turned Ruan give up on himself and live for Linlin.
This was the way l got the story bc remember Ruan did play in the game with other players even before meeting with Linlin that is why he had to fight with too much god in 11th door and every person helped him in 11th door was the people he actually helped and get to know before linlin.
For background l believe Ruan actually did live the life he had in doors world, the one he faked was for real world but not in doors. He did born in rich fam, entered to the door when he was 18 (? don't remember exactly) and built obsidian (which actually was Linlin who built it).
Ruan took the obsidian part from linlin whole to himself unlike real world too but aside this door part he and linlin had diff backstory, unlike linlin his fam actually loved Ruan and didn't leave him too

if l were able to give more than 10 point l would without hesitation I didn’t know l would turn such a big fan of this work. l did come across with series while scrolling in tiktok and after showing up on my fyp multiple times l thought giving it a go but bc of censorship l started with novel to understand pilot and thought if l like novel l will start the series too and I LITERALLY FELL FOR NOVEL ESCEPIALLY. Like everything was so balanced pilot, romance, friendship everything (spicy moment would have made it better but no problem). The author gave a pilot that made everything so interesting to point even tho l read it a while ago l still stuck with this pilot. if you ask my current self l will tell u l will like this story until the end of my life Also for series, even with censorship they didn’t hide their love for eo, okay no hug etc but their feeing and everything were still so good and glad the director improved some stories, like the giving peaceful end for some god doors etc. Long in short I DO RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE. Both novel and series are good and you need to give a chance to both. China has perfect potential for this genre and they do have a real actors and pilot to offer but sadly their censorship kinda ruins some stuffs. l hate censored bromance but still sometimes can’t stop from watching chinese bromance series especially when story is so good. Only problem aside censorship was sub bc to be honest at some point l just guessed what they talk and lost the normal english even for a few hours l couldn’t read normal english bc my brain stopped working hsvdhdvvd Salute for everyone who put hard work in this series and novel 🙏🏻

Oh now makes sense, l was hoping he left the doors at least alive tho he would be saved too but yeah sadly doors can save you from death but can turn your small injury to death sentence too like the slap of twin sister at the last moment linlin left in novel, he went to coma for a while just from a slap. at least LD had time to say his goodbye unlike jumping out of window in novel

Yeap, they did show his dead so simply with a few detail and we didn’t even know how he got betrayed in novel but series shows more details with additional details. l like LD in novel too and was pissed how they did really showed his character less but in series l literally took 5 min to cry to calm myself, even tho l know he would die sooner or later

What l don't really understand is how LD dead bc of heart issues? he got injured but still was alive while leaving the door, bc of broken sub l can't understand his dead fully. Just because that old dude heard his name caused his dead or smthing?

Just watched LD's dead scene and l cried my eyes out, wtf the director felt the need to make more sad scene than novel for my one of the fav character????????????? wasn't my tears enough at novel and why that mf old shit didn't die? Ofc he isn’t fully innocent but getting betrayed twice by people who he cherished most are big no.
His character wants to live easy life without chaos. He thought if they can have baby then he would have chill life with Eiji but at the end Eiji betrayed his trust and chose kid over him. Mieko also did betray his trust while lying him and even got married to Eiji. that is why Makio’s carefree character become more depressed than before as we can see he wasn’t this depressed and down before with Eiji but become like this after all event. He didn’t even care Asato’s sa bc he got too numb to feel anything after all

l can understand Myung Ha, it’s not about men or women, he knows that he is there for time being and after completing his mission he will go back to his reality tho he is hesitant about all of his feelings especially for YW
