Its me who misunderstood, thanks for explaining, i will remove my above comment, And I m not saying shouldn't have affair if they have beautiful wife and if they have kids, morally , not good , because willing/ not willing, you have promised to be his wife / her husband., at-least you should give a try to make that work if not clear that status and start over again.I m not saying to live with that crappy life with no love, but in clear form approach the next step. Because i don't like any Asian to be like westerner. family bondage is the best quality in Asian countries, which shouldn't spoil because of these kind of drama's. This is my opinion.

2nd lead characterisation is 100 % correct and acceptable, after dating for more than a year if he shows some serious anger then there must be a reason, girlfriend obviously should ask for the reason, she experienced the bad or insincere relationship for 5 years, at least by this 1 year she should have understood the sincerity of Ha Jin,
