The whole thing is fl's imagination/ she suffers from delusions and always thinks of being persecuted etc. She already has a history of depression and likely some severe mental disorder and maybe megalomania (think she is a powerful ceo)
She dreamt of all these successes in her head and having a happy family (but whole time is lying in a mental hospital)- plot twist; its her friend who is married to the man and have a daughter
