Me too :( I am stuck on ep 7. Got also recommended to watch this after Mr. Sunshine, but I just can't get into it.
One should not compare a drama to Mr. Sunshine, then I am left expecting more than I should.

I liked the drama until everyone started speaking English and FL started crying like every 5 minutes :( That is when the forward button started working...

When Wai Bai pushed Ai Qing in the car when he thought she wanted to go back with her ex-boyfiend. I expected Wai Bai to also apologize to her, because no matter what he had no reason to push her around like that :/ but I guess not every drama can be perfect.

I also didn't watch the first season, but I understood the 2nd season without any issues. I even fast forwarded eps because it was a little too slow for me. But I couldn't drop it because the actors were too cute! But there was one thing I especially didn't like:

Just finished Mr. Sunshine last night... and this morning saw "Joseon..." title, something to mend my broken heart. Hopes got up.
Got really excited, thinking history drama, yes!
Then watched the trailer, LOL not really sunshine haha :D but looks exciting

That was a hard drama to get into. After ep 8 it got interesting for me!
