And yet he wasn't afraid to show his disfigured face to YeLi and when Yeli touched and kissed his scar how shocked he was that also showed how much yeli loved him. She didn't cared about things like this which normally girls did and they could have added from Phoenix grass somehow his scar gone too which did kinda fade away when yeli started treating it. + he maybe would have looked hot in a mask.
