Wei Zheming did start in showbiz as early as in 2011 at the age of 20/21 as a supporting actor and as a pop singer (part of a boyband 'Decision Boyz'). In an interview to Beijing news TV, he mentioned that after graduation, he prepared for the civil service exam, which he cleared and started working at a Government business unit in Beijing for a few years. Let me mention here that having the ability to pass the civil service exam is already impressive! And being a civil servant in Beijing's elite circle proves he's incredibly capable.
Perhaps I should also mention here that it was during this period of his showbiz inactivity that he got married. He did indeed marry young. His ex-wife and him were university classmates and started dating during their university years (from 2009). They were reportedly considered a golden couple by teachers and classmates; their love story was a popular tale on campus. Both of them really liked singing Jay Chou's songs on Changba (a karaoke app). He was very handsome (still is!) and often topped the charts (source- douyin)
