The assumption I've made so far is that the messages simply brought them together sooner. They would've eventually…
Your explanation makes a lot of sense. ^^ The reason I was unsure is because we got to see her side of the story, she declared her love in those messages she's sent. But I'm not sure if they ever got together in the first place. She wrote about the memories they shared but there aren't any indicators that they became a couple. Perhaps she realized how she feels about him after he disappeared. We'll just have to wait and see, what caused him to leave in the first place?!
Weren't the messages he kept receiving the reason he became interested in her? Does that mean they wouldn't even be together if not for them?! I've seen quite a few time-traveling dramas, so I know that altering future never goes without sacrifices.
So far we know that her father died and that he was researcher, and apparently his father is responsible for someone's death. (I assume he killed her father and grandpa knows something about it, that's why he wants to keep him silent)
Also their parents stories are little odd too. It seems like her mother and his father had a fling back then but because he never confessed she married another guy.
Could the reason for Feng Ying's disappearance be the truth he couldn't cope with??
If you're not sure whether you should watch this replace go go go in the title with no no no and there you have your answer. Hopefully.. "You can only save those who are willing to be saved."
Would I recommend this? Absolutely. However I think that only true melo lover would be able to truly appreciate this drama. Because we love pain and angst. ;) There are some things I’d like to warn you about: 1. Violence If you feel like you can’t handle fist fights and blood perhaps it’s better to avoid it. But I’m also someone who isn’t keen on violent continent and I still found it alright-ish. In the second half of the drama you don’t get to see that many fights. It's more about mending what's broken. 2. Incest This it the reason most people would avoid this particular drama. Love between main leads was purely platonic, that’s all I say. Is this a turn off for some? I bet it is. Should it be? I'm sorry, but my answer is no. 3. Ending? Should I say anything at all? I thought it was realistically done. And if you want to know more, you should ask, I’d be glad to tell. The reason I like older dramas is because at least back then you couldn’t get main role if you didn’t know how to act, simple as that. So with that in mind, I was impressed or perhaps even shocked to see so many great actors in one drama. Everyone did an amazing job, and I mean it. From child actors to supporting cast. Some pointed out that this drama was “too dark” and I’d disagree. It was believable and yes it did make me laugh. Comedy was used in a smart way. And what do I mean by that? Writers didn’t just include funny scenes here and there just to ease tension and give us something other than heartache lol Even though it was probably one of the main reasons to use it.. It also makes us understand some characters better, some got their chance to shine, it was even used as a form of bonding. I really enjoyed the bromance. To conclude I think I’ve found my favorite genre family/melodrama with a slice of life. I loved “Just Between Lovers” and I equally love this. There's no reason to fear that this might disappoint you. If nothing it's a classic you shouldn't disregard. Everything else you need to know is written in the review by Malu. ^^
[I suppose this is my mini review, though it might not seem that mini] I decided to watch it after seeing cute fmv, it gave me the impression that leads have chemistry. Can I just say that this wasn’t the first time fmv has fooled me. Considering this whole drama was completely over the top with crazy characters and unbelievable plotline I hoped that at least main couple would be appealing enough to keep me interested in whatever was going on. However that wasn’t the case.. and there are few reasons: -FL never reciprocates ML’s feelings. Alright I get it, he seemed untrustworthy at first but later on after he helped her so many times she still couldn’t see his worth. Come on.. -Their bickering was cute at first but after a while it just felt like I was watching “my sassy girl” except she was only sassy towards the main lead, and way weaker in her confrontations with others (at least at first, she gets stronger but it takes time) I’ll just straight up say it: playful teasing is one thing and putting someone down is another. I think she crossed the line many times, but the ML just playfully accepted the “compliments” she was serving. And that’s why I started feeling sorry him. So to conclude the romance everyone praised so much didn’t exist in my eyes. I’m sorry, but to me it seemed like male lead never escaped friend zone, or whatever zone he was in. This just reminds me of “Meet the parents” and De Niro’s circle of trust.. not everyone can be in the circle, clearly. Best character: Le Tong To my surprise the only decent and well written character was child. I think this is the first time I encountered this situation. She had so many things going her way, she had the cuteness factor, she was smart and such a smooth talker. I’m truly impressed. Worst character: (so many with potential to get chosen) but I’ll choose “sister” Yu Xin Is she the worst I’ve seen? No, but she was one of the most annoying ones. Villains can also play huge role when it comes to overall impression. And honestly she was dumb/uninteresting. I couldn’t care less about her and the reasons for her actions. She wanted to be successful?! I don’t think she had what it takes to steal everything away from Guo Guo.. She was just jealous, and I suppose that made her “blind” because she wasn’t thinking clearly. You need to be smart to be a liar, otherwise you get caught. Moral of the story perhaps?! I didn’t get anything else from it.. except maybe headache, but I’m not sure if that counts?! There are also other characters created simply in order to annoy the hell out of you: -Guo Guo’s birth mother & -Yu Xin’s mother -There’s also Yun Kai’s step mother but I found her hilarious, because she was clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer. lol Honestly why were woman in this drama so unreasonable, hard to deal with?! I have no clue, perhaps writer knows why.. Would I recommend this? Hell to the no.
Am I the only one who thinks that Saiparn (Trichaiya) and Napat (Jitpanu) would make a great couple together?
You're not the only one. Ever since they started living together I hoped they would end up together in the end. The writer just played with our feelings.. >_<
The actual romance part is missing. >_< I waited and waited, but then it was over before anything actually started.. How frustrating is that?! And drama is really heavy.
I am currently watching season 1 , i like the story, But i saw this one and i really want to watch it bcoz of…
Her best drama is "Secret", followed by "Kill me, Heal me". I've seen "Can You Hear My Heart" and "Incarnation of Money" both were good.
You can't go wrong if you choose Jung Eum's dramas.
The ones I've just mentioned are melodramas for the most part, and it's the genre I love so I quite enjoyed them. I'm not sure it will work for you, but you can always try. ^^

It all comes down to someone's taste. Usually when you encounter mixed reviews you should just watch it to see whether it works for you or not. I personally didn't enjoy original, Korean version of Full House, I disliked Rain's character so much. Thai remake was much more enjoyable imo.
If I were to compare this drama to Full House, I prefer this one. It's not as dramatic, has lots of comic scenes and more skinship.
But you know every drama has its audience.

ps. I haven't seen the ending yet, but the child is too young to be told the whole truth about her birth.
