This was a solid 8.5/10 show for me. The actors really brought their A game to the show, especially Go Minsi. I could feel her aura permeating through the screen and that gaze was as cold as a dead fish. The cinematography was chef's kiss and the sequence of the plot was smooth, albeit draggy. The transition between the two timelines was subtle... maybe too subtle, because the two parallels became quite polarizing. I was skeptical on the first three episodes till I put everything together and that's where the story started to flow for me. Every character played a crucial role except, maybe the police. Yun Bomi had great stage presence but I found her character to be useless till the 8th episode. More light should've been throwned on Too Seonga's character and what made her to be the way she was. There shouldve been more exposition on her relationship with her father and husband.Overall, the show is not bad and is better than the recycled psychological/thriller shows being released these days.
Tbh I prefer black to mouse, black had only rushed and unfitting ending, while mouse dropped the ball for several…
While that may be your opinion. I think objectively Mouse is superior and ticks all boxes in all criteria. It has better developed in-depth characters, music scores, sub-plots and the it's meticulous attention to details is stupendous. Black is slightly below Mouse because some characters were not properly developed, it had at least two plot loops and the ending was unsatisfactory.
Han Mone and Min Dohyuk romance was so forced that I couldn't help but skip their scenes together. It was hard to believe a single clip could make Geum La Hui turn over a new leaf after torturing and tormenting her daughter before she pushed her to death. Her death kinda hurt me the most because she was willing to drag them all down to pay for their sins. It was unfortunate she trusted that coward.
I found the novel but can anyone tell where I should start reading from? I'd like to start reading from where…
although Lu Feng didn't die in the novel. His love for Xiao Chen was so toxic and disturbing that I wished Xiao Chen died. Especially the part where he (Lu Feng )r@ped Xiao Chen in front of their sons 🤢
I don't think any actor in Kim Soyeon and Um Kijoon's generation can pull off what they both did in this drama. These two were acting their asses off like their lives depended on it.
There was no slouch in the cast but Kim YoungDae could've done better with his acting. He was lacking a lot.
