Absolutely the best K-drama I've seen in ages. Superb characters, wonderful acting, sweet, funny, sad, and a romance between actual mature adults and not teenagers, or 20-somethings. Easily one of my favorite K-dramas ever.
LOL, what happened? Another shit storm after you made an innocent comment like what happened to me when I commented…
Just the same type of fools who populate most online forums nowadays. Not intelligent enough to debate someone's opinion, but plenty aggressive enough to attack the person themselves. In this drama's forum and on several others on MDL. Just shows a severe lack of intelligence but, like I said, life's too short. Moving on to more important things. It was nice talking to you :)
EDIT: Actually, never mind, I just realized why I never comment on online forums. As they're usually full of people with sad little lives desperate to prove their opinion of a drama/TV show/song etc is the right one. Deleting all comments on MDL and moving on with my life. Life's too short to waste it on idiots :)
The manga is one of my favorites (coming out in English later this year and already out in German), and this is one of the first BL dramas I've seen that not only sticks close to a BL manga, but also cast superb male leads that were just as wonderful as the manga characters. (Comparable to the fabulousness of Cherry Magic, IMO). Highly recommend.
I love Korean BLs but this one isn't doing it for me. Not sure if it's the acting or just a bad script. Dropping.
Yep, Park Jeong Woo's acting is pretty bad, way over the top, at least up to where I've watched at the end of Ep. 3.
Sure, it's his first main role, so I'm cutting him some slack but it makes watching the show a bit annoying. I do think Park Young Woon does a great job, but I'm like you, losing interest and only on Episode 3. Will probably finish it though, as it's short, and I do like supporting BL dramas even if they're not always my cup of tea.
EDIT: Just finished Ep. 4 -- yep, acting is very bad. Park Young Woon is the standout, but many of the others don't understand the difference between over the top completely unbelievable acting, and comedic timing IMO.
Why is it odd a man is still a virgin in his late 20s but when it is a woman she’s just expected to be a virgin…
And also picking a fight calling people 'racist' because they disagree with he/she. And even stupidly calling someone a racist who literally lived in Asia for the better part of two decades, speaks two Asian languages almost fluently (so I do understand local cultural norms), and had 100% Asian co-workers/friends for well over 14 years.
And what is fascinating about people like this, and I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "typical 20-something tossing around empty, inflated, socio-political jargon", is that they are usually white (no idea if he/she is, don't care) and rushing to defend Asians from the 'big bad white person slamming them'.
Meanwhile, just about every Asian I know would tell them to go f*ck themselves, as they sure as heck don't need a white knight charging in to defend them. They're quite adept and intelligent enought to defend themselves, thank you very much ;)
Does it have the same vibe with the webtoon? I dropped the webtoon
Yes, but the webtoon/manwha is much better. I've already dropped the drama, and I loved the webtoon, so if you dropped the webtoon, I'd say give this one a miss :)
I enjoyed the first 2 episodes, but I wish the chemistry was better. To me, the kiss on the cheek felt way too…
It's because in the manwha it's a full-on proper kiss, so far more interesting than this. Unfortunately, Korean dramas tend to 'sanitize' kisses, especially between men. And honestly, it's why I've already dropped this drama, as the manwha is just so much better.
Sorry. Wanted to like this, just didn't. Beautifully filmed, but very very slow moving and, honestly, I didn't care about anyone in it. Dropped after Episode 2.
child actors were good, but nothing happend all the time. I fast forwarded many scenes. 1h/episode is way too…
Agreed. Empress Ki is phenomenal, and so much better than this (which reminds me, I don't think I have it on my watched list?). I dropped The King's Affection after 2 episodes, as I was bored through 2/3 of it. Can't imagine watching 18 more episodes of this.

I want to watch this cuz they won but the reviews and past comments tell me not?!?!idk
I'd say skip it. I've just finished Episode 2, which didn't hold my attention at all, and with 18 more to go, there's no way I'm wading through about 20 hours more of this. Even watched at 1.5 speed, it's dull.
