same goes for me... first few episodes were fine.. but after then it messed up and the ending was also good... I just didn't like the fact where they say they(Houchi and Qingmu) were different persons so I somehow lost interest and quitted second time... but now it seems fine... we really should't comment before watching the whole story...

Everyone has their own point of view so I won't say you're wrong!! But not everyone wants newbies in their favourite novel adaption thats the fact! I don't dislike them either! They look pretty good to me!and Pei Ming looks super hot my god!! But still the matter that the budget and the newbies are pretty much dissapointing to the people who have high hopes! Its a 60 episode long drama, not an idol drama you gotta understand! And I think it's just the beginning of cristism !! The hype is too much! The more your expectations are the more disappoint you're gonna be! The less you expect the better it is! So I have low expectations and it's not a problem for me anymore! But the novel's popularity and high expectation will become the reason of criticism! So don't mind them! If you like it, you like it! If they don't they don't! As simple as that!

But IQIYI just don't invest much on their dramas and they selected all newbies! If they have selected B list actors it still would get criticism but they took all newbies and its obvious that the novel fans don't want to take risk! Its pretty heartbreaking
Well I'm not satisfied with the cast! After-all this is my favourite novel and how they just casually select cast for a 60 episode long drama!! But I hope they prove me wrong and do better! 😑😑 Let's just hope for the best 😒😒
