My big thanks to everyone who posted links to the novel. It's an enjoyable read. I hope when this is made into a drama they do it right. Important is that actor playing Hua Cheng and Xie Lian characters need to be good looking. Especially Hua Cheng need to be tall as well. Needless to say that they should be good actors as well.

Agreed the make up is too thick. But I love the ML. He sounds slippery because the character is slippery.

Ending sucks. They wasted so much time and dragged the whole series right up to to the last episode and then rushed the ending?
No battle scenes then suddenly the leads won the battle. How? Previously they admitted that they are weaker and shouldn't do a frontal battle then suddenly they did a frontal battle and won just like that??? Seriously is this a kid magic show where things can appear out of nowhere?

This is not a bad drama. It is entertaining and the theme of cultivation is fresh. Yes a lot of scenes and events seems to be rushed and a lot of time wasting on rewinding past scenes. But this happens on almost all C drama. I think I got used to it now.

I watched a Hollywood drama called "Warehouse 13". It's an extremely huge and magical warehouse where some of the artifacts stored there are very dangerous. There are only a few people managing that warehouse but they are special people. Warehouse 11 in this drama is like a less sophisticated Warehouse 13.

Zhu Yi Long played the perfect Fu Hong Xue in Border Town Prodigal. He is exactly what I imagine Fu Hong Xue would be. Now that he has aged a bit he would be a perfect Fu Hong Xue for Tian Ya Ming Yue Dao.
BTW this drama has been modified too much from the original novel.
