now I recall, where did the “method of forging weapon” plot go? it just disappeared. Is this a plot device?…
He originally wanted that method to strengthen his military power, to eventually become crown prince and to protect himself from his delusional father. But now that he's achieved that position and his father is on good terms with him, pursuing that method would only create unnecessary problems for him
I liked the Korean version, but it had many flaws you had to overlook to enjoy it. For example, KJW wasn't stylish at all and Ji Hyuk's sister helps her dress for the reunion, yet suddenly she becomes a fashion icon who even gives style advice to Ji Hyuk! And after living so naively for about 30 years, she abruptly turns confident, acting like she KNOWS she'll win. For me Japanese version doesn't have this problems and Misa is more relatable.
Honestly, when are they going to resolve even ONE of these misunderstandings? It's just piling up at this point. My heart breaks for Nan Heng, he's lost SYM's trust completely, and now he's watching his best friend and loyal group being destroyed too.
I don't know if this was discussed, but it gives a very interesting background for the drama. So in ADWAD review,…
So even in the first episode, when Nan Feng’s manager demands more screen time for him while he’s watching AJTL, they were teasing those past incidents? I’ve fallen even more in love with the production team. You can tell they put their whole souls into making this show. It’s like they channeled all that pain from their past, the unfairness they went through, and turned it into something beautiful. This wasn’t just another drama for them; it was somehow personal.
Low-key, I get why Yimeng is still keeping her guard up even by Episode 20. She tried so hard, believing she was changing fate, until that iconic scene with his father happened and shattered everything. At this point, it’s only natural for her to be convinced the script can’t change and that Nan Heng will ultimately cause her death.
From the first moment I witnessed the injustice toward Nan Heng, a knot formed in my heart. And every time he faces another misunderstanding or unfairness, that knot tightens. I wish I could leap into the drama and scream, ‘Could you just listen and believe him for one second?!
Huajin was such an interesting character, and the siblinghood with her sister was so touching. I really wanted to see more of them. It's a pity that her father's greed destroyed his life.
2025 is a good year for Liu Yu Ning drama fans...but after this ends,It will be an endless period of waiting before…
I just checked his page on MDL, and I noticed he really only has one drama as the main lead in two yrs! I need more of his works ASAP! This is a crisis!
I think the best way to reveal Li Shiliu’s identity would be for SYM to fall in love with both Nan Heng and Li Shiliu to the point where she can’t choose between them. Then, when she discovers the truth, she’d be happy that she never had to make a choice in the first place😂 BTW, I’m really interested in Song’s father’s character. I hope they give us an explanation for why he’s so weird!
In the scene where SYM was talking with his father, he mentioned that he drinks another tea so no one would know his favorite. Then, the scene jumps to the palace, showing the emperor with his two sons. I think they’re subtly suggesting that Nan Heng is the emperor’s favorite, but he wants to conceal this fact, which is why he acts kindly toward Nan Rui.

BTW, I’m really interested in Song’s father’s character. I hope they give us an explanation for why he’s so weird!
