yeah agreed she seem to be miscasted here...i just ignored her scene mostly.. i couldn't really deal with her.

I like how it end in full circle... . i dont mind he being a baixi again... i dont see it as curse or what not its just special blood line and plot device but even without it they would do the same because their strong sense of duty and protecting their loved one above all ....im a believer the baixi have a choice they can choose to be or not be and let it trap themselves ...i think thats its good they let viewers decided themselves....

It has a good mixed of romance, bromance, sibling bond, palace power grab, action battle with some comedyand major angst at end ...the 3 couples has great chemistry together playing their respective roles...

ic... let's hope they can lock in the main casts for season run.. it wierd when it's a different person...

no one as of now... it's probably jiang ni (fl) ..i wish it's not her.. she just does not match him well here.. but maybe she will improve later on but so far we at 14 and she still look/act like a high school kid around him.. maybe it's the actress ... i would skip romance for this drama..

i think so too..... with the pacing so slow so far.. we already 14 in and not much really happen so if they really end 38 it be suprising..it suppose to be 60, then 50 now 38 ......it make more sense with season..

It’s an Open happy ending depend on viewer perspective…happy for me. Ending make sense to me they come full circle … once a baixi always a baixi 😌

Yes the style so pretty ..I noticed ennuch mu is in there too 😄 🤣 😂...i though they did great together playing the young couple ... its cute seeing them together with their inocent young love and her being jealous and he seem so clueless that she had to hint him to be more alert hahaha... i wish they have more scenes together after his return...like he was going to night school where she teach could have more cute scenes interaction...

Just finish the great craftsman, very long drama 60 eps but it’s enjoyable to watch surprisedly … there is little romance btw fl/ml when they r young and elope but then fate separated them…if u like siblings bonding, revenge plot, republic Shanghai style era it a recommend. They do go into a lot in the architect, contract bid and construction consortium how it play out wwhich I find interesting since I like looking buildings skyscraper want know how it get build …

yep...especially after ZL death...we only see the little scene of him flashback conversation with shifu and from there you he forgave fjm...if only they can release a special mini lost episodes on ZY/ZL and some how include fjm/hs lost scene in mountain/her mother death in there too .. :) wishful thinking i will just have to make my own fanfic in my head like hs at the end hahahaha...

indeed very insightful vdo... drama fjm is so misunderstood...since he does not show any emotion... though WC done a great job protraiting him...have to follow his action ....also notice all the cut scenes from this short clips.. oh how i wish we get to see those in the drama itself...

watched the first 6, promising vibe... though i really wish they cut down on the sloooooooooow mo for fighting scenes...not a fan of this style...

thanks goodness they cut her scenes honestly i wouln't want to watch her jealous scheming scenes play out dragging the drama...

same... i like that I love all 3 couples story.. i don't find myself bored rewatching their scenes...

60, Very long but surprisingly it doesn’t feel draggy … the story with the siblings are so touching … and interesting to see the growth of Shanghai architect side cause the bund is truly one of best waterfront buildings scenic I ever visited … the influential of western and mixed with traditional and modern u can still see today very nice

yep.. the drama do come full circle for them...bittersweet indeed an open ending of happiness for me ...since we know he is her happiness and he is still alive and they still together taking care of thier children given it all one big secret still.... shadow family hahaha...

watch only to 46 if u want happy ending... :) personally i like the real drama ending 48... it's an open happy ending for me .both lived she became empress regent, fjm is the emperor grand mentor and baixi and he lived in zoaming palace so i'm sure they see each often .. they just can't live as open husband/wife or as a just ordinary citizen...it's up to viewers interpretation what they want to see as happy...
emperor/tilan died in each other arm so that happiness for them i guess. and ZY/ZL happily ever after... their arc got cut so u only see the last part of them ridding into the sunset together happy.
