Ikr i'm halfway in the novel and i can actually vision most of novel parts in series, there's some changes made as novel story is more detailed but the set was pretty accurate, it's only Chinese bl I've watched after a long time cuz other series either don't have good acting and setup or they always shove female lead out of nowhere lol, you should definitely read novel you will probably like it.

I felt it as well sometimes the lack of emotions was noticeable but i think we can overlook it as it's not worse dubb, i mostly find dubb not being good in Chinese series so learned to compromise lol.
