That's why I have the vibe of K drama Playful kiss since the beginning😌 FL - focus on ML ML -mysterious Genius. Other- just BG . But there was no problem back then becuz it was pure high school idol romance drama.
Here OG is Youth Growth Drama. I think the main problem for OG is script writing.
I don't tell about ML character here becuz I 'm ZLH fan so complaining for JQX character development can be mistaken as fangirl whining.
Cherry and QS kids literally have solid appearance for entire first one third of the drama, yet we don't get any personal information until JQX told who is who and what is what.
I understand that is to show JQX cares his friends but it should be shown earlier as their own personal plot.
As for Cherry, despite having most appearance, her character is the most poorly written in the show.
Let alone her interests, goals and dreams, we still have no idea why she was so much affection for JQX.
We matured viewers can figure it out why YT is so into JQX. It doesn't mean the script doesn't need to show clearly that facts in the drama.
Instead all of the reasons are shown via JQX guesture, eyes, smiles, dialogues etc.
This story telling style may be good for more matured drama, but for Youth Growth Drama theme, it is a bit off .
It is just my own opinion upto now. I think the last two epi are on the track. So, keep watching and discuss together 💗🤗💗✨✨
