Don't worry too much. We all know the synopsis is different from the original novel. The first time I read the novel, I feel the same, panic and anxiety.
I think they use the same name because the original novel is popular and also its prequel book is already adapted to drama(well-known actors+ already well-known in general public imo) 💗🤗💗

I say it again, in this season, the back story of each character is so good, it is hard to guess according to killer motivation only. Also, everyone acting, deceiving and defense are up to next level, as Ning said, it is hard to guess by their behavior alone.
Plus their visual and chemistry are so so good.Season 3 is great 👍👍
