Editing may be chopping in some scenes in earlier episodes,I don't find any trouble in later episodes ,so editing in general is OK for me. Sometime you don't need to make dramatic scene like finding clues, surprise with glare to make angst for next episode. It's like we are time up so just end here and see you tomorrow vibe found in some animes.I think they followed that concept according to opening and ending theme.
