My dad was watching POJ since day 1. Like he somehow missed my mom who used to love watching C and K dramas in her later years. My dad was news and sport enthusiastic yet she dragged him to watch dramas with her. And my mom used to like aesthetically pleasing films or dramas . He said POJ would be my mom liking becuz everything is beautiful in this drama๐ฅน.
If EP 25 and EP 26 are end of CY ruffian era and butcher era, Ep 27 is the beginning of CY lovelife and future greatness.
I just love their conversations, reactions and reconciled moment .The whole sequence is natural and we can see, no,all the misunderstanding to both XZ and CY from audience are resolved after end of EP 27.
And I am the one who want to see XZ solo fight sequence and military tactics a little bit more for storywise, but after Ep 27, after that waterfall scene , I never asked for more.
Becuz, it is a perfect score for XZ career and power he hold.
And I love the script explored the trauma from first time killing and battlefield experience.
This is the one of the reasons I love POJ as the characters are human like us, having flaws, insecurities, impulse, love, hate, fear, strength,weakness. I can relate them from main leads to villains to supporting characters.
can't wait to see their third arc of palace intrigues ,angst and of course ๐๐๐ and bathtub fighting ๐ซ ๐ซ ๐ซ ๐ฅน๐ฅน๐๐

I think the 30k enemies troops encircled the whole mountain. So they would spread their force to possible escape routes, to intercept supply chains, scout etc, that would be at least 30 points . So they have upmost 1k troops in one point. Plus Gu mountain point is hard to attack due to advanced location.
Recent battle seems to be two missions. One is to save POW meanwhile wracking ML mountain top base as much as possible by entering slaughter plain using 1k- 2k troops with a General.
So yes, they sent one faction of troops to distract Marquis cuz they want SYQ alive. I think if SYQ died in chaos, they would used all sorts of assaults to get the point in my opinion ๐ฅน๐ซ ๐ซ .

In other way,
Novel XZ = Drama XZ + 2 spoons of possessive + 4 spoons of obsession
