It is highly recommended to read the novel while watching this at the same time.
According to the novel, WKX's martial arts skill is the most lethal and most frightening of all. It doesn't follow any rules, no fixed set of moves, he had no mantras, but only a choice to either live or die, time after time. Even the Great Shaman said, that even if ZZS is at the full peak of his abilities if they truly exchange blows, he will be unable to score victory over WKX. Then the Great Shaman added, "Unless I had no other choice, I will never face this person in combat". Not to mention how WKX dethroned his predecessor, lmao!
Reading the novel makes me appreciate WKX character more. He's a cute, sweet, lovestruck helpless little puppy in front of ZZS but once he's out of sight WKX turns into a killing machine.

He's the valley ghost leader, he has disciples or several "ghosts" under him. These ghosts are just waiting for a chance to bring him down to take his place as a leader, most (all) of them aren't loyal. His predecessors held 3 years of leadership while he's been their leader for 8 yrs now, so these ghosts worked with outsiders i.e scorpion king and the other sects. They are scheming under his nose but he's really smart and knows their moves.
