idk sorry guys, its just that I have so many trainee friends and it sucks to see someone waltzing in with their connections and getting center, even if she "works hard", not as hard as the other girls (if you look at training room data), and her ability isn't as good. And her fan base is large, but not as large too warrant a 6 million vote lead.

being rich is not a crime, but if you look at other chinese idols who were born rich (chenle, NCTdream), their skills match up to or exceed the rest of the groups.

And no, I am not an anti,I absolutely love her dramas, as an ACTRESS, but she just randomly decided to be an idol while these other people have been dreaming about it for years. She already has more dramas lined up due to the exposure youth with you has given her, so its likely she's going to abandon youth with you projects to act, because at the end of the day she's an actress, not an idol.

So rank her as #5, or even #3, but she should stop buying votes and leave center for someone who is actually going to show up full heartedly to practice.

idk, as a person from mainland china, Esther yu already has existing popularity, and her family is well connected in the entertainment circle. I have friends who are trainees, and these types of shows usually can be bought fairly easily. I'm not doubting Esther's popularity, it's just that the extent to which she is popular is most likely forged. There is no way that from the first voting section she was #1 without her family buying the yogurt (she admitted it herself in one episode but I think people took it as a joke). So yes, the antis are wrong about her relying ONLY on her family money and family friendship with CEO of iQiYi and the youth with you director, however, it is not true to say that she doesn't leverage at least a bit of it, or her parents are doing it and not telling her (but I don't think so, she has flaunted her connections 3 times). However, other trainees are also doing this so we can't just blame Esther.

Also if you see voting and stuff on Chinese and International social media, Esther yu does not rank 1, usually, people pick xin liu. Esther ranks top 5-10, but so does Kiki. So it's weird when you compare the voting competitions online compared to the ones from fruity yogurt iQiyi lol. Like the margin which Esther is ahead is abnormally large. You can even look at Cai Xu Kun's numbers, Kun was super popular but he didn't have as large of a heading margin (and Kun had top VDR skills AND personality vote, unlike Esther, who is just winning by popularity vote). If you look at everyone else in the top 10, they are all (CAA, AAA, BCA) while Esther's skills are (DDD). Kun was always AAA, and so was Xin Liu.

However, there's nothing really wrong with this, in the entertainment circle, it is brutal, and any advantage should be (and usually is) leveraged. Also again, this is a reality show so not everything is 100% true. Most directors are given a shortlist of people who should have more camera/screentime, it's just the way it is.

So basically it has come out that, her family is friends with the iQiYi board (lol), and her family buys the yogurt for votes. But no one is really talking about it.
