More than I initially expected. Male leads are nice to watch at. FL is funny. Not a beauty but OK. Unfortunately, the reason why I have chosen to watch historical Chinese drama, disappears. I ran away from western movies, to find out that even here, despite so called censorship, the LGBT agenda is implemented step by step.

Exactly. Actually what happened in the end is a totally non-sense. You cannot say it is lack of experience, what ever the author says. It is quite cynical, I would say, the end. Yep! As usual. Quirky ending. I started to thing that these kind of endings - might be relying on difference of culture, because we definitely not like them, but they continue. See also Novoland Pearl Eclipse, where in the last two ep. they messed up. Here again, last 2 ep. - surprise. It is like they do not want us to enjoy it!

There are some patterns of endings that I really hate. One of them is this: come together after many years. In Under Power is also the case (in the film they do not say, but he was in prison for 3 years). In the Condor Heroes - 16 years (!). In Love and Destiny 4-5 years and so on. To think that they did not change in the mean time and that they can leave happily together after being separated so many years is childish (read stupid). This is also one of the reasons that I liked Maiden Holmes so much. Good detective story, nice romance and a NORMAL ending. And to be honest, one of the few dramas with a good ending without being traumatized before with all kind of last moment schemes.
