This show was disappointing for me. Love by Chance was my first ever BL series and it was so good that it took me quite some time to find other BLs that I liked as much. Since the prequel was so good I had some expectations from this one as well, but I was disappointed big time. The acting seemed off in the initial episodes and also the chemistry between the leads was absent. Though this improved with each episode and a visible change was seen with every new episode, it was not enough. Most of the characters seemed useless. The story and the way it was presented wasn't very appealing. The final scene seemed to hint at another sequel, which honestly I am not sure if we'd want. P.S. With all due respect to the people who loved this series, these were just my views. Also, I loved Ae and Pete's flashbacks more than Tin and Can's romance.
Watch a couple of episodes and decide for yourself. I see value in watching this for Ji Soo. If I had listened…
Thanks a lot. I agree that watching for yourself and then deciding further is the best way to go about it. I was just very anxious about delving into this show since I was not sure if I was in the mental state for the elements of this drama, but I'll definitely consider watching this (primarily for Ji Soo). I'll wait for it to end and then probably will binge watch it since waiting for the new episode will probably make me anxious. :D Thank you. P.S. I love "Something in the Rain".
I think their emotions in their voice is lacking. That might be because of the dub (though they dubbed themselves,…
Dubbing also seems an issue here but their acting in general throughout the show is unappealing. To cross check I went back to see Jerry Yan's Loving, Never Forgetting ,again, just to see if I was expecting too much from them. Honestly, I wasn't. Both of them are good actors. There's something wrong with the acting in this particular show. P.S. Loving, Never Forgetting is not even the best of his works yet is a good enough proof of his talent.
I've seen both Jerry Yan and Shen Yue's previous works ( a couple of them) and I was excited for the show. Though I am still watching it regularly, I am not quite happy with their acting. Having seen their earlier works and liking them I know for a fact that they are capable of good acting but this show was a big disappointment when it comes to acting. After being disappointed in the initial few episodes because of this, I hoped for it to improve in the subsequent episodes, but the show is 27 episodes down and is continuing with mediocre acting. I wished to see them doing better than this.
I was excited to watch this ever since I came to know about it (coz of all the hype), but also I wanted for it to end before I get into it, and, I swear I don't regret it. I finished the series in one go and I absolutely loved it. It's so beautifully unique. This was also my first ever watch from Philippines, and I was not disappointed.
I remember giving it 8.5 stars after watching it for the first time. It was hard to accept that final episode, and honestly watching it the second time was also not easy, but this time i.e., the second time I couldn't help but notice how beautiful and meaningful the final episode actually is. I fell so hard for Xiang Hao Ting in this epi. This time I gave it 9.5 stars ( not 10 coz I still can't get over the tragedy). It's a beautiful show. ❤️
P.S. With all due respect to the people who loved this series, these were just my views.
Also, I loved Ae and Pete's flashbacks more than Tin and Can's romance.
Thank you.
P.S. I love "Something in the Rain".
