Awesome, I've been wanting to watch that one for awhile myself too..
Well, I'm pretty much watching lots of dramas.. The non currently airing ones are Heartstrings, Secret Garden and Koishite Akuma :D
I just love dramas with wierd storylines ^^,
As for Hotaru no Hikari, I'm watching a drama kinda like that one too, Ever heard of Switch Girl? :)

2nd lead syndrome is terrible in itself at some points..

So true.. I wonder how many times I have ended up putting good dramas on hold because of it. The 2nd lead syndrome I got in Beethoven Virus was nearly unbearable.. I think I basically ended up crying the last 12 episodes in the drama.. I am usually not much of a fan of classic music styled dramas, However I decided to give this one a go since Jang Keun Suk was in it.. Yep, I truly hated that.. I suffered all the way through it..
As for You're Beautiful, It is indeed a truly good drama. But lots of people also got the 2nd lead syndrome from it. Another one of Jang Keun Suk's drama's im suffering from a serious 2nd lead syndrome from is Hong Gil Dong. To the point of hating the mmain guy actually.. Why do this syndrome have to be this cruel.. It saves you no tears..

The 2nd lead syndrome is one that is way to easy to get.
I've had it way to much, In both anime and drama.. Its just too bad when the 2nd lead also ends up being interested in the girl and gets his heart broken as she doesn't want him.. It always ends up the way you just said it.. You'll end up crying with that character.

Even though I loved those three versions,I couldn't stand the 2nd season of Meteor garden.. It was truly horrifying.. I think I spent all the episodes of it that I watched untill now being inraged.. Couldn't stand that Yesha girl.. Don't know why though.. She's just too much trouble.. ^^,

Well, I've loved Nishikado in all of the versions of Hana Yori Dango.
The one I've found to be the least attractive over the others have actually been the anime one. Loved Kim Bum in his role in Boys Over Flowers, And as you said: Matsuda Shota broke my heart in his role too :D
Well, Concidering it all, Nishikado has always been my fave of the F4 guys, However that is only as a guy who doesn't get the girl. Its too cute how much Yuki-chan did for him though.. After he helped her from her awful x-boyfriend. She became like a stalker to him in HYD.. Liked that relationship a bit better in boys before flowers though. They actually had a happier ending there. That couple atleast. Tsukasa & Tsukushi has a happier ending in the original version of HYD. I m so never going to like Domiouji's mother.
Yep, Rui was awesome. All of them.
Except the anime & Chinese one. Both were the same.

Well, I know what you mean.. I too loved the HYD drama.. And it was like tht with me too.. That anime was actually the reason as to why I found out about asian dramas existance.. I never really finished it right then though.
Having finished it and watched nearly all the alternate drama versions I still love the original anime.
One thing I truly disliked about the anime.. Sorry if you were a fan..
But I think the Hanazawa Rui from the anime was unbearable..
Showed no remorse for Domiouji while going after Tsukushi.. Loved the episode when she needed to be warmed up by Tsukasa's side.. It was too adorable.
Loved Rui from the HYD drama though.. Allthough I'm still a supporter of domiouji and tsukushi.:D

Ouch, I Too almost caught that bug at some point.. Its just barely that I avoided it.
You know when you see a show and you think the show's got a really tragic start. Or if you've seen the show before.. And you're rewatching it.. You know when all of the good stuff happens.. You decide to rewatch it but you always end up skipping the episodes that doesn't include you're fave scenes..

So True.. Harem and Ecchi are to be found in almost all romance animes out there today.. I never really liked it at first.. Honestly, I still don't.. However, I love romance animes so I have learned to deal with it..
I know what you mean.. Its like that with me too.. If you just watch or read something you love too see, Hours can just easily pass by without your noticing it ever did.
In my case, It most happens with dramas..
A regular drama today usually lasts all from 45 minutes, To over an hour..
If you truly like the drama, It never seems like the episodes actually are all that long atall.. ^^,

I Know right? It's like that with me too, Only for me I have lots of animes on my plan to watch list.. I had all intantion of watching every single edition I'd added on to my anime list but it has been standing still like a rock after I found out about asian dramas. I can't stop watching anime.. I've just put my anime list on on-hold for awhile.. Not forever, Only until the time I get tired of watching asian dramas.. Andas that'll never happen.. Atleast to the time I get my plan to watch drama and movie lists cleared xD

Just going through your mal list I see you have many editions to your list there..
Well, I guess I am kinda like you only the other way around.. I nearly don't have anything on my Manga list again. Love mangas, However I also rather enjoy animes.. Often the animes in themselves is what makes me want to check out the mangas.. Like Ouran High School Host Club.. The manga was ongoing for a long time even after the anime had stopped airing...Lots of things happened in the actuall manga that didn't in the original anime.. ;\
Its rather annoying when they end a story halfway done. Same for asian dramas too.
Especially if they have no plan to make a secound season to it in the future..

I agree with you.. I've actually always been pretty much of an Kimi Ni Todoke fan myself.. Allthough I honestly prefere the anime version over teh drama, I think they managed to pull it off pretty well.. Allthough there were a few parts that I wish they had put into the movie too.. Especially ***The proposal*** I truly loved the anime... <3 So what kind of genres are your faves through anime and asian dramas? :)

Paradise Kiss, True love forsure.. The movie made me fall in ove with Mukai Osamu's acting.. I guess I'm not enough of a fan to put him in my favorites yet.. However I am keeping an eye out for any new projects with him in it..
Really enjoying Hungry though.. At first I didn't really think this kind of drama was quite it for him.. He.. Well, I haven't seen him in too many such roles before.. But, He has got the character down without issues..
Yeah, I guess you are right.. But since they made it like that.. I guess there is still the hope for there to be a secound season.
We do know that there will be a movie.. And I can't seem to recognize too much of that from the trailer from the anime.. I think there might be something new. Or something from the original manga later on.
I'll keep hoping for a secound season.. Forever if I'll have to.
Oh, I will watch Tumbling, No doubt about it :D
