The second male lead keeps saying "I must protect His Highness" and his affectionate lines are awkward and inexplicable.
Of course, it'll get worse. SRQ love excuses, he doesn't want to accept the fact that whether it's in the past or the present, his actions didn't protect LR, but caused her harm. Even more so in the present.

Each time I see his face, all I can think of is for his head to roll. I rarely hate a character so, and SRQ is one those characters I despise. Can't wait to witness his downfall!

It seems like it. I do hope we get this drama "Legend of Taotie" sooner than later. I've been sticking with Youku for months now cuz it seems their dramas that have been released during this year, thus far, are more interesting than iQIYI and Tencent dramas.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. SRQ never had the same screentime as PWX, PWX had more screentime. SRQ is but a support role, so there's no way his screentime would outweigh PWX's. Try rewatching this drama again.
