umm no...it was Soo Sun who first noticed the scar at school and testified as a witness afterwards. Dae Gu, in one of his phone conversations with S (chief Kang) said that Boots MIGHT have a scar near his ear due to the acid he poured onto his face in the science lab, but he's not completely sure.
I also have a feeling that the writers named the villain 'Boots' because the name itself is connected to Dae Gu's mother murder case. If you watched all the eps (and I'm sure you did) then you probably know that Boots got his scar when he was a cop (a good guy if you want) and was trying to save PS. If 'Boots' becomes 'Scar', then he will be remembered as a hero who saved his friend while on mission. The name 'Boots', on the other hand, is unsettling and induces fear....makes you go back to the night when Dae Gu was hiding under his bed and witnessed his mother's death.

This is prolly why most viewers ((myself included)) is rooting for the second female lead, Soo Hyun, and the male lead, Hoon. To be honest, I'm on ep 11 and still can't bring myself to actually care for the main couple :/

LSG was injured while filming ep 11/last scene of ep 10, thus they made a special ep to replace ep 10 which was supposed to air on Wednesday but got aired on Thursday instead. As far as I know, LSG is back on the set, so I guess we'll be seeing ep 11 & 12 this week.
Does Seungri appear often? I'm willing to start this just because of him, though I'm not a fan of Koo Hye Sun...
I'm not a fan of Koo Hye Sun either, but her acting improved imo ((compared to BOF anyway)). And yes, Seungri's character has quite a few on-screen appearances, plus he's fun to watch and adds tons of cuteness to the drama ^^
I finished this drama 3 weeks ago and still have withdrawal symptoms, this never happened to me before....every single episode kept me on the edge with such brilliant acting skills. Definitely a must watch and rewatch.
