I read tmopb the same time as when the drama came out. So I dont remember that much. Let me ask you.. does dong hua's mortal world's name (in tmopb) have the same name as the one in pillow book (song xuan ren)? If the same, the writer probably rewrote the story. They only need to experience once in the mortal world.

So...I haven't finished the pillow book yet. But..I think you should follow the one from pillow book the story about donghua's mortal world. His mortal story from TMOPB was rewritten for the drama itself.

The mortal story in the pillow book novel, fengjiu got married with ye qingti. The emperor (donghua's mortal body) granted his own concubine (fengjiu) to his own general, eventhough the emperor really loved his concubine. They changed it in the drama though, but the ending is somewhat similar. Ye qingti died protecting fengjiu from a demon's sword. She mourned his death for three years since he was her mortal husband.

I dont know if you read the novel or not. In the novel, Ye Hua, Bai Qian, Mo Yuan and other deities are actually there during the final battle with the demon king. They are the ones who break the ward to save Dong Hua and Fengjiu. But, I think it's hard to get the original actors to do the cameo. They got lucky to get Yang Mi to show up on some scenes.

I agree with Keren. I got tired watching love triangle. A love story doesnt necessary include a love triangle, im quite sure there are a lot of problems that can ruin or strengthen a relationship.

For those who are contemplating whether to watch TMOPB (eternal love) first or not, I would totally recommend to watch TMOPB first. You can get familiar with some of the characters' names and their abilities, concept of immortal and high god/goddess, the path they need to take to be high God, etc. But I would recommend to fast forward on Feng Jiu and Dong Hua's story and just watch it from ELOD.

You just need to pass through her body size. She's very petite, even for Asians. I dont think her having curly hair is gonna help her look mature. Her face though.. actually looks her age (or 20s), but her body does look like a middle schooler. And I agree with you, she shouldve dressed more mature, and stop carrying a backpack...lol.

I give an F for the last epi. It seems like they run out of ideas and started to drag the story line. ZA and AN went to the states and the airplane accident are totally unnecessary story lines. I think 28 epis would be perfect for this drama.

Im on ep 3. I totally agree with you. ZY obviously likes XM a lot but dont know how to deal with his feeling n jealousy. He's really annoying.

I was wondering the same thing too. I always check the ending first when it comes to cdrama, they seem like to make a crappy ending.

When you said Eternal Love, I assume you mean TMOPB, right? The story doesn't start until ep 9. The first eight to nine episodes just like an epilogue. Keep watching it will get better. The ML (Ye Hua) is my most favorite character and Xu Feng comes 2nd.
