Not going to lie. The pacing & the subs were so fast I had to go back a few times. It's worth going back as if you follow closely, you won't be confused.
Even with that, I still think I miss a few things. Will re-watch epi 47 to 56 again though.
I think that if it was 5 years ago, LBY will be begging but since it's 5 years later. They both had that much…
someone just commented that there is a livestream for epi 57 but I don't see it so it might just be mainland.
TBH, I liked the pacing of it. I didn't feel that it was rush but I know what you mean that there are some loopholes. There are some scene from the novel that I wished it was in the drama too.
Yes, I wanted a bit of lovey-dovey for our main characters but then I love actions so I can't even be mad with all those fights. I'm all for the heartbreaking so I wished they would have played that out a bit more. I feel that they were both hurt and I wanted to feel that hurt with them and we only got to see it for a bit. Like when he helped her onto the horse or when they talked and then separated. But It's okay, I'll take it with a grain of salt and accept the drama as it is.
I love how you are using his new name HB. I'm still stuck on LBY. awwwh!
Did you get to the part where he explains to the emperor why he did it? I was so hurt too but hearing his explanation,…
OhMyCDramaAddict - below pretty much sums it up. When you get to that part, it's really sad and you get to hear his point of view or his side.
One thing is that we as viewers can be mad at the characters but when they express their feelings you can't even be mad at one or the other.
I'm mad one minute and then the next I'm like, urrgghhhh I get where he or she is coming from. then you are hurt for both or all parties instead of one person.
I do have to tell everyone if you are planning to watch the last 8 episodes. Read the dialogues carefully. If you miss one sentence, you'll miss something important. All 8 episodes has very great dialogues.
Omg, this is so upsetting. I knew he was going to snap, but not like that! He spent all this time stopping others…

Watched all of it. Overall its good but i feel quite sad that he didnt beg her enough after what he did to her.…
I think that if it was 5 years ago, LBY will be begging but since it's 5 years later. They both had that much time to think and grow. LBY came back respecting her and letting her do whatever she wanted to do since she chose to stay in the palace for 5 years. We can look it as if it was the empress or LBY. I think it was more for her as she didn't want to be outside where everyone is talking about her or her family. As you see by the end, he kept saying, he trust her and so he didn't go back to the village until he killed Tian. It was nice to see that Cheng family came and help instead of LBY. She asked LBY why didn't he come in time to save her, he said, he trusted that she can handle it. She responded, you trusted me too much.
As a previous commenter below stated, I don't think it'll go right either way by telling her or not. If she knew, she'll be punish for lying to the king. If she didn't know, LBY lied to her. It's a lose lose situation for both of them.
As for the engagement, I think LBY just knew they weren't engage as he can read her.
The last 5 minutes of the drama especially the emperor scene is comedy gold! Seriously my favorite emperor in…
He's expressing our feelings to the world too. We waited this long and we don't get to see the wedding just like him. (kidding on my end) I didn't care too much for the wedding but I know how he feels.
I cannot watch the express package on PC but I can watch the VIP episodes though. on the PC, it only goes up to epi 48.
However, if you know there's a way to do it, then let me know. I was so sad to watch the last 8 episodes on my phone.
One thing that is great about this drama, it started with the Cheng family and it ended with the Cheng family. Love it!

Overall, I like the drama as it is. :)
