As soon as I saw that rat in prison, I was like, that rat is a side character because aināt no way in a c-drama where the streets on pristine, and the prison is dustless, they would zoom in on a rat lol
I donāt know how I feel about this show. There has been no real progress since the fl lost her memories in ep 2. Sure, we have had a lot of Nancy Drew episodes of the fl, the ml, the sml investigating crimes, and being āin the knowā all over the capital. Ok, good for them, but we have had 26 episodes of this (and soon to be 28 episodes based on the previews). How about we go back to the events that led to the cliff incident and move that investigation along, same with what happened to the mlās master?
I had hoped that her discovering that sheās not his āsisterā would be a turning point, but no, the side quests-Nancy Drew investigations continue. So the events leading to the cliff incident was never the main plot?
So the sml got punched at his request, and somehow he ended up in jail? Why? Conveniently placed in the same cell as the fl while still carrying his bag? They didnāt remove his bag? Why? Almost immediately villains āguardsā came to distribute food? The food consisted of two pieces of bread? How convenient! They pretended to eat it but didnāt shallow to fool the villain? Conveniently they were able to check whether the food was poisoned AFTER PUTTING IT IN THEIR MOUTHS, because you know, cells have rats, and the rat came out immediately from his hiding place to assist the plot! They were then able to escape the cell, and were saved immediately by the ml, because he was conveniently, at the right place, right time! LOL
Ep 1 is so heavy on the details. Fl, her sister, attack, web lady, masked man (ml), lady poison, lord demon, tower, massacre of 5000, retaliation, innocent killed, tree, coffin, poison king arrives out of no where, now everybody fighting in the purple clouds, lighting, lots of talking during the fight, not interested AT ALL, collection of swords, I donāt even remember who they are fighting again. Oh, the episode ends abruptly. Does it get better?
Iām afraid that once Mingshu finds out sheās not Lu Changās real sister, sheāll start accepting Qing ā¦…
I actually believes she wonāt start accepting Qing. Once her memory returns, she will be upset and maybe try to cut ties with them ml. There will be angst but she will never go back to considering Qing as a potential suitor because her feelings for the ml will resurfaced again.
Itās like comparing oranges with apples. His circumstances are entirely different from the ml. If he was placed in the same circumstances, had the same upbringing, went to the same struggles, yes, he would be up to the task as well because he would be the ml lol.
The sml defying his father to save his beloved, only to lose the girl because the plot demands it does not sit well with me. I have never been shipping a sml as much.

I am waiting for the next historical drama like the Princess Rebel or the next xianxia like Love and Destiny.
