This show was nothing extraordinary to begin with: - robot had one expression - the fl was a clueless pushover - Jiseok was busy with his revenge then forgot all about it - the younger siblings were not worth mentioning - the chairwoman was blind - SY and her mom were winning lol - Chairwoman’s husband was busy having coffee meetups - Only the little boy made any sense
The drama went further downhill the moment the Chairwoman found Myeongji’s “precious” notebook and confronted her. You know what happened next: more win for Myeongji, SY become a saint and Jiseok and Mother Theresa Hana becoming part of SY’s support team, as if SY wasn’t evil for 99% of the drama.

I don’t know if you have noticed but the big reveals have been all anticlimactic. For instance, the lie that SY told in ep 1 was revealed during an 1-minute conversation between dumb, dumber and dumbest with barely any reactions. So, I am pretty sure Myeongi will somehow escape and kidnapped someone and will reveal in passing “I killed your parents, ha ha ha”
Mother Theresa Hana saves Saint Se Young from doing the unthinkable. Hana and Jiseok have become members of SY’s support team. Hana tells her to take responsibility, live without guilt and in peace because that is what Yu Jin would have wanted. Meanwhile, SY’s mom is out of jail due to lack of evidence and confesses to the Chairwoman that she killed her daughter to protects hers. She’s cray cray and delulu.
Robot proposes to Hana after two weeks of dating. No one cares. Skip.
SY confronts her mother and her mother ask her to retrieve the notebook because detectives are tailing her. She wants to burn the notebook and leave Korea to start anew. SY retrieves it and gives “a” notebook to her mom, which she burns as the Chairwoman enters the bathroom to witness the act. I am pretty sure that the notebook that Myeongi burns was not the real one. SY will probably give it to the police as part of her redemption journey.
Myeongi treated her notebook like it was a first edition of the Magna Carta for 97 episodes, until it wasn’t. It was her “precious” until it wasn’t lol
Everyone: SY’s mom is at fault regarding the embezzlement.
Jiseok suddenly acting like SY is a saint, when discussing the way SY was treated by her future in-laws or the day Yu Jin went missing.
Everyone: I feel so bad for SY. She must be going through so much right now because of her mom.
Hana to SY: “it wasn’t your fault, you were young back then, it was an accident.”
I really do not like the way they have downplayed SY’s actions and choices.
For instance, it was very much SY’s actions that led to Yu Jin getting on the boat. Granted SY was young, but the fact that she lied about where Yu Jin was to cover her own actions shows that she was selfish and self-serving even back then. Hana, without knowing why SY lied tells her « it was an accident », downplaying her actions.
Me: what exactly was an accident Hana? SY had years to come clean, yet she never did, and even at ep 97, she still has not told the parents the truth.
I am sure she will be the one to find the notebook and deliver it to the police, because she needs to be redeemed, somehow.
