From what I remember, the story starts with a woman who transmigrated into a book where an unpopular second female character dies. The woman basically takes over her body. Having read the book, she knows the identity of those who killed her and tries her best to not die again- she is terrified of the madman, who happens to be the ml. As the story progresses, the ml falls in love with this new version of the second female character. The fl starts to fall in love too but there are more to this story and the ml is no hero at all.

His character reminds me of a book I read a while ago about an unfortunate lady who was reborn or transmigrated more than once, and the madman who “loved” (I used the word very loosely) her in all her lives. I wish I could remember the title of the book

Do they mention her (Ling Yi) at all after she received her karma in ep 27?
