I guess, but the whole plot was just laid out for him
-he, as a mortal ascend to the heavenly realm
-randomly meets heavenly grandpa on a boat
-grandpa drops him off at the location where the sfl is
-sfl advises him on how to get out
-randomly meet a heavenly dude who makes him his disciple and conveniently gives h his 1000+ years of cultivation before dying

Currently watching ep 11How did the sml get there so fast? how did he even know she was in that cell? like how? The whole plot was just so conveniently laid out for the sml
