First time we see chuyu completely worried and crying ,and it has to do with Weiyun
Girl is finally showing that she cares

I understand the chemistry crashout from y'all but let not forget the plot too
Chuyu has been in love once , she was promised marriage and even eloped with the guy , she ended up heartbroken.
She lost her father in war because of some traitors.
The only person who genuinely love is her brother.
She is revenge driven and came to the Wei household just so she can achieve her goal
They literally started tolerating each other 5 Episodes ago.
Now Weiyun on the other hand started catching feelings from Ep1, obviously his feelings kept growing but unfortunately it is completely one sided.
From Ep 17 , when he confronted her about guessing who he likes , that is the first time I saw Chuyu flustered , almost as if she guessed it.
Weiyun also started accepting his feelings completely in Ep 17.

I made a post here some days ago that , Weiyun will have to win Chuyu's heart, he has his work cut out for him. From the previews I think he will try and he will not give up on it.
You cannot measure their feeling together , because their romance timeline is completely different

I honestly been so used to watching dramas where the leads fall in love at the same time, I almost forgot , sometimes there is one sided love stories .
Anyways we need to be a little patient and see where it goes from here.

I never take MDL seriously , what do you the Episodes that have aired yet have been rated already
If episodes have dropped somewhere , direct me there so I can watch all the episodes, the wait is driving me crazy

I am beginning to think people still have an internal problem with Victoria Song, Her being older and not one of cdrama's fave actresses could be it too.
The scruntiny on tiktok about her age is saddening.
I just hope she is can be given the chance without people always talking about her age .
Anyways,I am hyped for this drama , It has actually exceeded my expectation , I just started liking Ding Yuxi too.

I don't know if some of you are intentionally misunderstanding Chuyu's character or you genuinely missed some dialogues between her and weiyun
Weiyun has done nothing to earn Chuyu's trust , He has always been reserved and suspicious towards her, he tried so many times to convince her to leave the mansion.
She probably assumes he doesn't like her very much , a whole 360 change in character , all of a sudden he is apologizing and being nice to her and want to work together ,
I would be skeptical too.
But Chuyu on the other side had done so many things to earn his trust
Getting him out of prison , help get his title back , got hurt saving him, although she did them selfishly , it still shows she can be a trusted ally , Weijun's letter about helping her even sealed the deal for Weiyun to completely trust her.
My girl has nothing on Weiyun, he needs to win her over , I am sure he is aware and will try to do that so that they can work together
Her fake fainting was clearly out of panic , she is scared Weiyun might kick her out so she tried to lean into his sympathy and guilt to make her stay.
She is still unsure about Weiyun, she has tried doing this all alone, she even refused Mr Gu's help.
It would be out of character to outright accept Weiyun without reservation.
Let my girl catch a little break , she will eventually come around.

But why more depth, why cant it be a simple story , that on can enjoy ?

But you saying it is bad is a personal opinion , someone might say something different , why should we accept it is bad just because you said it ?
It is the same for those saying it is good too.
Your critism will always stem from personal opinion and your experience watching the show.
But the way you all sometimes frame it, its like you know better, like your taste are so profound than others who claim to like it.
Criticize all you want, but sometimes those crtism lack any genuine opinion. because it comes from a place of generalization, instead of watching the show and criticizing it according to how it is ,
I really doubt some of you watch the show anyways .

Finally this place has become logical , it is nice reading all these takes whether negative air positive
