Stefan (vamp) moves back to his hometown where he meets Elena who has a striking resemblance to his ex Katherine (whole story behind it) anyways his appearance is followed by Damon his brother who also catches Elena and gets interested becuase of her resemblance to Katherine , unlike Stefan Damon feeds on humans and this of course leads to a series of attacks etc. There this whole story, srry only up to season 1 yet ^^
