There is no erasure of character. Duang has been himself from day 1 n always has been himself while pursuing qin. If you really understood you would see he didn't pursue qin according to Qin's way or character, duang did according how he hiw n his character.
I don't know whats your definition of 'real drama' ( do you mean over the top misunderstandings? Intense fight? Big issues) its not necessary that every drama has that.
The soul pf this show is duang's commitment to following his heart, his perseverance in loving someone who ia closed. Not giving up yet maintaining the boundaries.
Its Qin who is close n not really comfortable in expressing , slowly opening up to duang n his love.
The soul is the friendships supportive n understanding. Not just there to add fun but to add value.

Not liking the show is ok if its not your cup of tea. Everybody has their own type of shows they like But totally missing the point of show n saying there is nothing notable in it just shows you didn't really see on deeper level

Yup that scene stood out to me too. His eyes were so earnest. He knows he si falling deep but he also doesn't want to feel that. Even the bathroom scene was so well portrayed to show Qins troubled emotions
