Hmmmm... I don't really agree with this article. For instance Stand Up!! and Hana Kimi aren't about the romance. Stand Up!! is about awkward teenagers, if they had kissed passionately or something it would have been very unrealistic. Hana Kimi is your typical Japanese romantic comedy, these mostly focus on the comedy, so you shouldn't expect much skinship. For romantic Japanese dramas you could better watch Last Cinderella or Buzzer beat which have more of a focus on romance.

Korean dramas tend to focus on the romance and Japanese dramas don't, which explains the smaller amount of kisses in Jdramas, but do kisses really define how good a drama is?
Also, I personally find what you call ''a cute kiss'' a very disturbing and irritating ''lip press'' or ''wall-kiss'', after having seen it a few times it's awful to look at.
I don't really see how you find Taiwanese dramas so much less romantic, the cinematography might be less pretty, but that's not the definition of ''romantic''.

If you're really going for romance you should go for Taiwanese dramas in overall. But every country has it's more romantic and less romantic dramas. I myself watch Kdramas for the romance, but they have hardly ever offered me more than that. For a good story I normally pick a Jdrama. You shouldn't judge dramas from different countries in such an oblivious way...

Yeah, I really wonder why I watched Playful Kiss... xd I guess finding a Korean actor I liked was part of the reason... (There are only a few Korean actors I like, so that limits the amount of loyal fan girl sacrifices luckily. :) )

I think full house Take 2 deserves an honourable mention for the most awful haircuts a single drama has ever produced. One of the many reasons I dropped it.

I'm not going to watch the first one either, this article strengthens my believe that it isn't worth the time. (And I also can't take Korean Dramas older than 2008 because of the horrible fashion and hairstyles...)

Im IT student, but the dress system shown in the drama is impossible.
LOL. That's mostly what dramas do, but we like to live a dream don't we? xd (I'm guessing Bloody Monday is complete fanatsy on that part as well xd I still love it though!)

Unfortunately I don't know too much about the Big Bang Theory (I think I've seen just one or two episodes) but I would definitely watch this if it were a drama, interesting casting! (I've never seen Toda Erika like that, she can look like that as well? So different!)
Oh and I looked it up and it seems Maruyama Ryuhei is 1.76 xd (according to DramaWiki) so that would be a bit of a problem... xd)

Really really really hate! the fackt that it's taken more than 1 week - 2 weeks for only 1 episode to come out..…
Well, Japanese series are always aired a single episode a week. But that's pretty normal isn't it? As far as I know Korea is the only country that airs regular dramas twice a week.
The reason it didn't air last week was because it was golden week and some kind of national holiday that Friday. Although it killed me too, I do think the actors and the production team deserve some holiday time. :)

Wow, this was better than I expected it to be! It was actually really enjoyable! The story was good, (You see the manga characteristics but it has some serious history parts as well) the acting was good, good actors after all, (wondering if Sato Takeru did the fight choreo himself, pretty impressive) and even the music was good.(and I'm not just talking about the ending title xd Though as a huge OOR fan I couldn't help squeal. ^____^)<br />This must've been such an awesome film to watch in the cinema.... Why you show no Japanese films, Dutch cinemas??? :'(

I think I'll be rewatching this drama forever. It's hilarious no matter how often I watch it. My favourite episode is probably the second, with the Kazuo being gay misunderstanding. xd I absolutely love all characters, they all crack me up, I wouldn't know which I like most. Gehehehehe. :)
