Hi. We meet again. I swear you'll want to watch these 84 episodes. I watched first time in 2006 I was only 6 or 7 at that time and it was epic. I find myself, more than a decade later, in 2018 still rewatching it. I came here to comment on it since am rewatching once again and look I found you. It's an 84 episodes worth of your time. Give it a try and you won't regret.
You should remove the last sentence that you are still waiting for eps 3 π€£π€£π€£π€£
Thank you. I added a comment to the review when I was done watching. I had problems with editing. Please check down π for my comments after I was done watching.
I can't believe Uk only has 3 outfits in this whole season, lol. All his outfits are plain and look cheap as well.…
That maybe is because you forget the role of Jang Uk in S2 isn't that of Jang Uk in S2. In S2 we have a Jang Uk that wouldn't care less about worldly stuff as a hunter of these soul shifters. If you checked Elijah in the Originals was always in a suit not necessarily one suit but always a black suit. There's Klaus in the same Originals was always in black. There's Marcel in the same Originals was always in black plus additional boots. In Kdrama, if you've watched Island 2022 there's Van a demon hunter who's always in the same outfit, in Gu family book the ML is always in black, in Scarlet heart Ryeo the ML is always in black. In C-Dramas I have so many but I'll go with Bai Lu in the Legends Zhao Yao 2019 she was always in red, Dylan Wang in Love between Fairy and Demon is always in black, the hero Shen Qing in Love like white jade is always in Navy Blue.
What am trying to mean is Jang Uk in S2 was a personality like the ones I've mentioned and it's in some way related to the fact that they don't wear so many brands. Certainly many clothes of the same brand and look.
I hope this explanation helps in some way clear up the names of those in the dressing department and Jang Uk himself.
Who's redoing this show with me?? I don't seem to get enough of something as perfect as this. Redoing 2 episodes everyday. And again after I finish. I've lost count of the number of times I've rewatched. Everything about this is cute.
Does commenting on this can bump this up? The other low-rated review is totally misleading.
True. I wonder why anyone would rate this show below a 9.5. I think it's just biased rating by maybe haters as I like to think. But on the side of light it was the greatest onscreen experience of 2022. I hope everyone can see this review and try the drama for themselves before being mislead by other low rated reviews. I wonder when next a show like this one is gonna be available to us. Thank you so much for your comment.
Done with this one yesterday, 08 Jan 2022, as last episode was aired and OMG I am gonna miss this show. I really can't get over the cast and production thanks to the producers and the Hong sisters for the ending we deserved. JBY/JSR actually gave up her soul for the happiness of UK and Naksu. I have made all my family watch the entire show with me since I had my hands on episode one of season one. Excellent production and excellent casting and acting. I am more of a traditional drama fan and I am looking forward to meeting this casts in other traditional drama projects. I'll stop there before I get too emotional π. Thank you everyone that has undertaken this journey through the Alchemy of Souls and I hope you enjoyed every second of it. Remember to get yourself a Jin Mu smile sneak peek before you go.π
After episode 4 I was like give me season 3 of Alchemy of Souls. After episode six am like I won't survive the heartbreak if am not given season 3 or a happy ending for season 2. I have notions of a sad ending given the facts in the storyline. But then I keep reminding myself UK is the most powerful man in the world. He can decide the ending that he likes.
And.... "None of you will walk out of here alive.".... is the most captivating suspense I've seen in any Asian drama.
If Uk kissed JBY it only means he can feel the Naksu spark in her. And I really hope their secret is not revealed to everyone after Naksu's real identity is exposed. I can't wait for episode 5 on Saturday. Things are just getting started. I already want a season 3 for heaven's sake. I can't part ways with this cast this soon.
Not plagiarized. the drama used the same composer for Royal Nirvana. He also did the music for Ever Night. In…
Oh thank you so much for the clarification and forgive my ignorance and naivety. I really liked the OST for Royal Nirvana. It's always in my heart and even the music used sung by Shen. I stopped watching Legend of Xiao Chuo because they used Royal Nirvana's OST, I was on the verge of dropping Love between Fairy and Devil because of the same. I really am not a fan of copying unless it's exams ππ. I also loved Costs for Nirvana in Fire, Sparrow, Ever Night, Princess Silver. I wouldn't like them repeated in other series unless it's a sequel to the previous season. Because these scores were done to perfection and they wouldn't taste the same in any other series no matter who the composer is.
I loved everything about this drama except for episode 13 which was truly unnecessary. And Ah To was exquisite and apparently strong and able to think, which is the opposite of FLs in C-Dramas of the same storyline. It's a watch I would recommend.
Watched four episodes so far and what a show!!! But am really pissed off by the fact that they plagiarized Royal Nirvana's soundtrack at the first episode. That really annoyed me. Royal Nirvana has a special part in my heart.
my Jang Uk obsession is officially back π€Έπ€Έπ€Έ
Can't get over this Jae Wook. Why is he so amazing? He should appear in more traditional dramas. Am not a fan of the modern ones tbh. But I'll try some of his. And I hope to see him in more lead roles. What a star.
