I would say that, since Zhou Cheng had already faced Shi Kai's death due to the smuggling case and then was in an accident with Jiang Yan due to that smuggling case again, Xiaolan blamed her appearance there, thinking that if she didn't appear it wouldn't have happened and Du Zhaohui offered her to help with the smuggling case Zhou Cheng was after and also will give Xia Ziyu aka Vivi to her since she was creating alot of trouble of Xiaolan and both the cases were favourable for her as Zhou Cheng might able to conclude the case asap and she could get Vivi punished as well, she told him the same, and in the future episodes Du Zhaohui's character becomes likable as well. And also Jiang Yan liked Zhou Cheng alot which she told to Xiaolan as well, and Zhou Cheng and Jiang Yan together worked in the smuggling case and she had no problem with it.
So it was kind of alright for me since most of them were in their boundaries and there was no unnecessary misunderstanding between them.
Loved this drama to the end ❤️ The character development shown of most of the character was so good and satisfying. The relationships each one of them formed was so healthy and free from toxicity as all relations should be The career pursued by everyone and the determination they had for their goals was really inspiring The relationship between Zhou Cheng and Xia Xiaolan was so mature, understanding, loving, caring and supporting that it felt unreal but it was also how some people actually are in a relationship and it shows how a relationship should be
I loved every bit of this drama and specially the ending made cry but also happy of them meeting each other
Zhou Ye proved herself again by playing Xia Xiaolan, her character and acting was so good in this that I was able to feel all the emotions she expressed
This was my second drama of Zhai Xiaowen after love in pavilion and his acting is really really good specially his emotional scenes, I could really feel how he is feeling in every scene, he has really done a good work.
And this journey was though not very long but it was really good ❤️
since we are gonna get the express episodes today, I will try my level best to not directly see the ending but I know myself that whatever I say I will still do it 🥹
I disliked Xia Ziyu's every scene in today's episode 😭 but Zhou Cheng and Xiaolan's every scene together were so heartwarming and showed how much he loved and supported her 🥹🫶
