I somewhat agree that Neo does come off as self conscious/ diplomatic/direct but I don’t think he’s entirely superficial. He mentioned several times that he’s not experience with variety shows. Yang Chaoyue was able to loosen him up a lot but he still seem like he’s on guard or has a wall up. One thing I do like about Neo, he is considerate of YY feelings. A lot of fans cant differentiate if it’s real or not because the CP went from frenemies to lovey dovey so naturally. I personally think a majority of the show is scripted but you never know if sparks might happen after the program is over.

I saw the little clip of the CP saying that too but I figured they’re referring to their storyline. Anyways, The show is trying hard to promote this CP but I heard their teams are trying to avoid it as much as possible. I guess to prevent any rumors.

She slightly mature towards the last few episodes after becoming pregnant and when her family is in danger. In reality, ppl don’t change overnight so at least all the characters are pretty consistent. One thing I like about the FL is that she’s a caring person and her love for her husband.
I must say I enjoyed GL very much! There are no epic plots, but it managed to wrap up the storyline (including an unexpected ending). Also, it introduced me to the ML and FL who had fantastic onscreen chemistry . My favorite, it had numerous romantic moments with a dash of funny scenes that keeps you wanting to watch the next episode. There’s rumors that season 2 might happen sometime next year.
