The funny thing is this drama flopped hard in China. Daily view only reached 14M on Yunhe. Mind you that's for 2 eps. Heat index is not moving for a reason. Yeah she's not impressing anybody even in China except the tasteless people who are easily pleased with mediocrity.

I actually watched several episodes and yes, her acting is subpar and this drama is a whole cringefest. It's not just about her voice; it's her overall portrayal of the character that's so awkward and hard to watch. You cannot convince me that the stiff and constipated facial expressions she wears in many scenes are supposed to be intentional for the character.

Also, I don't need to actually watch it to know how subpar her acting is. She's never been considered a good actress. Even on Chinese social media, the acting in this drama was heavily criticized.

Don't go blaming SAL and main leads lol.. when literally the whole kdrama and cdrama discourse started bc of her viral bad acting. One tweet downplaying Cdrama was literally getting 30K+ likes bc they were quoting her bad acting clip. This level of fighting has never happened before on kdrama & cdrama stan twt. Like she's simply an embarrassment to the entire cdramas community.

The way Esther's subpar acting went so viral with several posts getting million of views on both Twitter and Tiktok, reaching non-fans, and instead of just focusing on her, chinese actors and cdramas as a whole are getting flamed too, and generalized as being on that same level of cringe 🤦‍♀️ I hate how the whole c-ent industry is being unfairly judged over a few bad apples when there's actually such a wide range of quality in cdramas and acting. Thanks SAL and Esther for giving a bad rep to the entire cdramas community 😐👍
