What a blast of a drama! The best drama of the whole bunch I am watching right now. I cannot wipe the silly grin I have through the last episode with the fast pace plot twist. FL is such a kick ass and ML is such sharp shooter, Only thing is there is no conclusion for ML father situation..wonder if I missed anything there.

I cannot understand why need to compare in the first place.

I read all the comments below after the finale. Agree and feel for the diverse opinion. What matters to me most is I enjoy the drama and the love story of the leads, fast pacing towards the end because of time constraint is understandable but at least the narration helped. And yes..what happened to the boat scene?

Sadly this drama does not cater to the broader base of fanatics and overseas viewers. But you are not alone in enjoying it as there are not many like this which depict the ordinary people lives. Sun Li is a great actor and the other lesser known ones are just as good, the ones unknown to me are pretty good as I get so annoyed with their characters for e.g the unreasonable mother, spineless son.... Let us keep our support to their work in continuing to watch!

I guess in the first place the Queen mission is to get A killed, so getting A in the cage, the fire (which she probably plotted from the look in her face) and A risking her life in fighting the beast off is nothing big for her to express alarm / concern. The King is useless, being besotted with the Queen to allow Changdi to bully A just cos the Queen warm up to him after Changdi birth. Their characters also think throwing their child in the snake pit is no big deal. So the director is following to a T the novel, so how to ask them to express more emotions?

On your point on the people having random/extra presence...if the director has develop the other character like the King and Queen, maybe the drama be just too long and draggy.

SY got drunk as he suspected Aranya is not the Aranya he loved. DJ appeared when SY tried to touch FJ face and DJ did not take that action too kindly..so best to knock out a drunkard and let him sleep through. FJ cried cos she tried to reason with DJ that SY sort of know she is not Aranya. She felt she is like Aranya, so pitiful in love but DJ say that they will be getting out of the dream anyway, so why put so much effort and attention to SY etc. FJ got more emo and said she rather not get out of the dream so she can continue to live Aranya/Xize love story within the dream. Once they get out DJ will be the highly respected deity where a little fox like her does not warrant the love. So sad.

By the way Ji Heng said that too. DJ also sort of said that himself.

True on the protective part as DH was like that on the seduction sequence at Fanyin Valley. The annoying part for me is Miao Luo did not play a part in the dream in the novel. Her part was written when she tried to take FJ body....the reason I'm not too sure why. So DH had to fight a projection within the dream that caused him heavy injuries, instead of "master serpent". When Miao Luo reappeared time and again, I cannot understand why, unless it is to just ascertain FJ as the person hidden in the shower of Fuling flowers.

Ah.. therefore she cannot create much trouble and was underpowered when DJ has only 10% of his power in A's dream, but she still can have an annoying snoopy presence.
