Happily stuck in doramaland ^_^

too bad he won't be in it, he retired :(
I know, hence why I wrote that I wouldn't watch a 2nd season even if they were to make one.
It is too bad that he retired, though I understand his decision.

It's not the best movie I've seen, but it's not bad either.
Really liked Masaharu's father, even if he didn't have much screen-time.

Will eventually check out the Korean adaption.

Basically, this movie is like a fanfiction where you borrow the characters from a popular series and follow none of the plotlines.
Sometimes it works. This time? Eh, not so much.

A bit of a shame that all the subbed episodes seem seem to be out of sync with the subtitles, which makes the story a little harder to follow.
Would have preferred if raw versions were available and then time them myself.
In any case, I will finish this series as I have enjoyed the first two episodes so far, though I think it'll take a little more time and effort on my part than it usually would've.

Thanks for peaking my interest!
Will check out some of the titles mentioned, and see what I think about his acting. :)
Only thing I've seen him in so far is Shinigami-kun, and it's been years since I watched it so I have no opinion about that one.

Anywhere this can be found with subtitles?
Saw there's videos of the series uploaded on youtube but sadly none of them have English subtitles.

Title Aku no Hado
The ending was a bit disappointing to be honest. But, oh, well...

Haven't watched this yet, but the synopsis give me doubt as to whether I should invest the time it'll take for the 16 eps.
Now I understand that the ML has a shitty future in prospect, but still....
Marrying someone you don't love just because..? Seriously?
I don't know if I could take this one seriously after that piece of information.

Is this drama worth watching? Would love to hear opinions, pros and/or cons from you who have seen at least 2 episodes.
Thank you in advance.

Like the series, though from episode 3 and onwards seems like I'm starting to like Mitsuru less and less.
He's not a bad guy per say, just that his reasoning is ridiculous and I find him a bit too self-centered. It was fine in episode 1-2, but then... no thanks.
The other characters are reason enough for me to keep watching the series but I do hope I will "rediscover" Mitsuru, as it is painful having a main lead you can't stand the sight of.

I think Yool mul will succeed and be king but for a short term. I feel like they will overthrow his reign quickly.…
Good points.
Yes, they probably will. I mean, the real king's reign was horrible so I can't see Yool Mu's prosper.

Yes, that is true. I do wonder about when the king will learn that the "nice man" he's talked to and seemingly gotten along with is actually his son, and how he will respond to that information. Your possible scenario does seem like a fitting end.

As for his brother... Yes, could very well be it, and I certainly hope that's the case.

Title The Tale of Nokdu Spoiler
Considering the historic King Injo, I'm curious as to whether Yool Mu will succeed with his schemes (depending on if the show will aim for accuracy or not), and how that will effect NokDu in the long run.
With how the current king seem to be loosing his marbles and his not so stellar choices in the past, I am beginning to regret that the arrow in episode 1 didn't hit it's intended target, and that's saying something as I don't have the habit of wishing death upon characters (not even horrible ones).

Am also wondering about NokDu's brother's place in all of this.
He says he will do what Yool Mu wishes him to do, even go against his brother when the time comes, but there have been more than one scene over the course of the series that suggest he's conflicted about it. They may not be brothers by blood, but they grew up together not knowing anything else and blood isn't everything.
In any case, I haven't yet given up hope on him coming back to his senses.

I think I'm the only who find doesn't fit that attire. His body looks small in that outfit
No, i don't think you are. So far, I prefer his pink one, even if we've only seen him wear it in like 1 episode.

Well, Kang Tae Oh is doing a very good job in ensuring that the watchers of the show will hate his character.

Sad that I have already caught up to the latest episode, and am dying to know what happens next.

Title Erased
I was very pleased to discover that I found this drama to be just as enjoyable as the anime series, and with a few exceptions was faithful to the original story.

Hadn't read the manga or watched the anime when I saw the movie adaption.
While ERASED (live action) was okay, I didn't feel too invested in the story.
Time between the movie adaption and the drama series I actually did watch the anime and so had a completely new appreciation and understanding of the story and characters involved.
Not to knock down on Fujiwara Tatsuya's acting, but I did find Furukawa Yuki to be a better fit for the role of Fujinuma Satoru.
Last but not the least, the sceneries used couldn't have been better. The one with the "Christmas tree" was breathtaking.

So far, have only watched 4 episodes and as such it might be presumptuous of me, but I can't help the feeling that I'd want to enjoy this drama because Tamamori stars in it and I found his other drama Juuyou Sankounin Tantei to be serious, fun and easygoing... this one, no. Just no.

The characters aren't complex enough for a personal investment, the story drags on and on and seems to lead nowhere.
Like aforementioned, I'd really want to enjoy this drama, and I can appreciate the effort the actors seem to have put into the show, but even those few cute moments with ML and his sister doesn't salvage this snore-fest.
Maybe my sentiment regarding the series will have changed after I've seen the remaining episodes, though I have doubts about that.

Edit 19-10-29:
So, it turns out the series got slightly better from episode 5 and onward, although some things seemed to be mentioned just for the heck of it without any explanation leaving the viewers with a "what did I just watch" kind of feeling. Which, for me was disappointing.
So, yeah, the director could have used the script in a more efficient way, especially with the episodes being almost 1 hr long each.
For instance, as far as the characters' backgrounds go, I feel that they barely scraped upon the surface, and we'd need at least 1 or 2 more episodes to wrap things up.
Actually, a second season would be more reasonable especially given how the last episode ended.

It's certainly not the worst drama I've seen, but it's not that good either.
Now that I think about it, the main problem was that I expected too much when I first started watching it.
If some were to enjoy the series more than I did, good for you. ^_^

Eventhough I semi-hate the ending (no it wasn't bad per say), the movie was still a good watch. Not sure if I'll rewatch it, though.

Liked the movie well enough. Can probaby give it another go, though I have a feeling this story would've worked out better as a drama series rather than a movie adaption.
