Believe me, start with this one (The Long Ballad) if you're looking for historical drama without fantasy. Also, since it's focused on character growth, not the romance. But if you find something with fantasy (I mean xianxia or wuxia or etc.), I suggest you to start with Ashes of Love. I can tell because I'm not into historical drama before😂 and just got really into it recently. And guess what, the main reason is because of Ashes of Love and The Long Ballad!

Agree to you! Yang Zi w/ Deng Lun (also all the casts) acting was just too real that me and my friends who watched AoL felt like we were living in the drama :'D. Cheng Yi is a very good actor too, but what I can tell is I still can't move on from AoL even after watched L&R. In a way, I won't ever watch L&R if it's not because of AoL (since I was not xianxia genre lover before).

This show is really good, and I think a lot of people might think the same way. I used to like "Busted" (Korea variety show), but I find "Who's The Keyman" more interesting for me! :D I really need season 2 with Deng Lun for sure! ♡ This is alr 2021, won't it be season 2 as it was said in last episode? :( What I remember the most in this season is Deng Lun always be the first people to be suspected but mostly turned out without being voted by the other >.<. Then, I notice, Deng Lun always suspect two people at last and say, "Haiya, here I am again." in each episode hahaha. Also, Deng Lun always be the one who said he is nervous for the fact checking hahaha, it's fun for me. I love all the other casts as well. ❤❤❤ I really need season 2 asap, I love how it made me laugh all over the show but cried in every ending of the episode just because it's very touching and heartwarming.

I wish for the same thing with you! Basically, Deng Lun is the main reason I keep watching this show :D.
