I really hate Ling Xiao's mother. Such parent doesnt deserve a child. Saying that you dont have choice as a mother? I am a mom myself and I know we always have a choice for our children. So dont give me that bullshit.

I think I’ve finally found my fictional “ideal type” in Mei Zhu Yu. There’s just something magnetic about him: cold and seemingly detached from the world, but quietly driven, highly capable, and deeply secure in himself. He doesn’t need to be in the spotlight, in fact, he’s perfectly content to stand behind the woman he loves, supporting her with quiet strength, because he knows his own worth. Add in that touch of obsessiveness, and it makes him all the more intense and unforgettable.

Episode 31, when he threatened his furen just for a meal, has to be one of my favorite scenes in any C-drama I’ve ever watched. Honestly, iconic.

I’ve honestly never felt this strongly about a character before. Do you know any other fictional men with that same mix of domineering presence, unwavering support, and subtle obsession?

Saw the trailer today. When will this release?

The pacing is great, the ending is not rushed, the story telling is superb, the acting delivery is top notch, the premise is so unique. I can safely say this is the best drama of 2025 so far for me
