i dont think he trusts her to go to the state of Yue since her father could then potentially ally with them and rebel full force with his pivate army combined with the state of Yue. So since she is offering to help him bring down the Xue family, it’s the idea of keeping your enemies closer and she would be more useful to him then to her dad and the empress dowager since they’ve given up in using her as their pawn.

this is the best comment on this entire board, thank you! i thought i was the only one. the last episode with the bro mansplaining his intent was just bad storytelling by using one character to explain everything. except he didn’t explain exactly how he knew the infinite heat was hidden in the ice pool!! it would’ve been 10x better to reveal that what they are really guarding in the back hill are the spirits of the Gong Family since it appears as though everyone gets reunited with their dead family members. should’ve taken a supernatural spin, but then again that would take actual good writing! the visuals and OST are great, i just wished the story was more substantial, it had so much potential.

sword snow stride has some great fight scenes and beautiful cinematography. i was just mad at it cuz there was no season 2, but has some great comedic moments and mystery

that kid is perfectly casted, so much more funny rewatching it, everytime FDB talks about how little they know about LXY and DFS cracks me up!

Ep 1, LLH says to FDB when they first meet, “In this world there are ways to revive the dead. Because sometimes the dead may not always be dead….” I’m just gonna leave that here cuz you never know with LLH. Can we get a season 2??

Ep39 when he calls him AFei before the epic battle scene is one of the many subtle but masterful moments in this drama that tugs at my heart strings. it shows how far their friendship has come and the full circle that he has travelled to call his foe his friend and his once sworn brother has become his mortal enemy. this growth in character development and storyline is better than any recent drama I’ve seen. theres no need for romance when friendship and loyalty take center stage.

Was hoping for Fang Xiaobao to crash the conversation between LXY and Mian just to get some relief from the intensity! Girl, reminder it’s your wedding night.

He Na deserves 10 stars, the rest of this drama not so much.

Part 1 -Episode 9: at his celebration party Jang Uk says if he could use sorcery to save someone’s life, he would. Let’s hope he stays true to his character. Just giving you all a little hope for our ending.
