I think, when people saw the word "rom-com", they are expecting a cringy, goofy, cliche, almost-flawless characters because that's how almost every rom-com are. And it's not wrong, because that's what i expected too... I thought this drama will be very light and only full of rainbows. But knowing JHI & JSM, i should've seen it coming.

'rom-com' in LND was executed very differently. More mature, relatable and realistic. People are too focusing on romance between the two leads, and ignore the romance/love between family and friends. Also, i love how all the characters incl the main leads are people with flaws. That what makes me appreciate the drama more. Every week, there will always be judgements and criticisms about some of the characters' actions. To some of us, it seems stupid or immature. (Eg:choisseung ingored seokryu after he saw her with her fiance). I'm not saying what he did was right, but realistically in happened irl. They make mistakes. They act immature. Isn't that how we are? No matter what age you are, there will be some circumstances that makes you behave immaturely. No? So we can't simply labeled them as a total 'green flag' or 'red flag' just from their certain behaviors.
Honestly sometimes its not easy to relate to the characters. Like many other people. I questioned their choice of actions too. But reading other people's comments and point of views really help me understand them more.

So if anyone here is looking for a fluffy romance, sorry but this drama is not for you and it's okay. Don't force yourself.

Sorry if my comment sounds messy. I'm not good with words. 😐

Seems like time passed so quickly, after today only 6 more episodes🫣
Isn't that crazy? It feels like ep1 just aired last week πŸ₯Ί

I do think that Seokryu's rejection towards Seunghyo's feelings was quite brutal, but, if you try to keep an 'open…
"extremely selfless" is a perfect way to describe seokryu. Its easy to judge and throw rocks at her because she always act tough and rough. I, too was very devastated by her brutalness to choisseung. But once you dug deeper into her, learned about her past, her struggle, her insecurities, you'll understand why she did what she did.

*I always love reading you comments. Sometimes it makes me understand the plots/characters more clearly and deeply. Thank you

Seunghyo's love is not one-sided , And Seokryu do like Seunghyo ,the fact that she didn't reject him outright…
Thank you for this. Yes, seokryu was happy after the confession. She didn't reject him right away, maybe she's also considering to accept his confession. But when her ex showed up, when her stomach's in pain and fear the cancer might be reoccurring, the past memories of her being sick and depressed and how her fiance got tired of taking care of her came rushing back. She's sees what her sickness done to her once ,a happy relationship. So it's understandable that she rejected him, and hide about her cancer. But now that her secret is out, she can finally lean on people around her and slowly heal herself while surrounded by all the people she loves and loves her
