I take back what I said about him not pushing her. She's feeling discouraged and his reaction is to scream at her and insult her. And that's supposed to work great to motivate her again? Uhm no. Like sure, if this was a highschool sports drama that's usually what they're like. But Kaori is a 12 year old child.

I'm starting to giving up hope on seeing this drama subbed :(
Someone started subbing it! :)

The implication that she was forced to quit is literally so out of place. She has talked about wanting to start a family while young and wishing to have many children years ago. It's been her dream, I really believe it was her own decision to dedicate herself completely to her family.

I really love how this is going. They never stop making sure Kaori is able to handle the stress and are always ready to quit if she stops wanting it or can't handle it anymore. And I love how the whole role reversal of the parents went.

I get so disappointed when they adapt smut manga and take out all smut scenes. I want to see skin and hot kisses.…
I think they're trying to make them more family friendly. But I definitely agree. :D

Found out about this that Kame and Yampi were back in a drama together! I have been waiting forever for them to…
They are going to sing the theme song for this!

It's obvious the author hasn't watched much J-drama because there are a ton of sweet guys! Sorai Daisuke…

I gave it a try and gave up. I cannot stand the main female character or any woman in real life who thinks that…
I'm not arguing that Asuka may be immature or glorifying marriage/being a housewife. And I agree that slapping Ryu was also a complete overreaction on her part (probably done for dramatic effect tbh). All I'm saying is that you shouldn't put other women down (i.e. calling them stupid) for wanting to become housewives. It's literally just a way to split the work in a relationship. And I'm neither a housewife nor planning to become one in the future (I actually don't even see any reason to get married, other than tax benefits).

But I'm guessing we're not gonna get anywhere with this conversation. So let's just agree to disagree.

That's your opinion but other women don't have to do what you think is right.

I think every woman should be able chose whatever life she wants. If becoming a housewife and mother is her dream, that's good for her. If another woman wants to not get married and concentrate on her career, good for her. If a woman wants to get married and keep working, also good for her. They're not acting like Asuka's dream is what every woman should thrive for - and she herself acknowledges that. There are different people with different opinions on marriage and that's what this drama is all about.

But also, if you aren't interested in this kind of story, that's absolutely your choice and I'm not trying to persuade you to watch this or anything. Just please don't act like women that do want to get married and become fulltime housewives and mothers are somehow worth less than those who don't.

I think jdramas are the only ones where poor people actually behave like poor people lol
I remember a drama were the heroine had an older smartphone with a cracked screen throughout the whole thing.
