There are no words to describe how beautiful the romance is between SXR and CFT. Their actions and eyes, and smiles at each other is everything. Their soul is connected, just actions doing all the talking.

Same, I have no interest in opera. But this drama got me hooked. The main leads are doing a great job at their role. They are meant to play SXR and CFT. Everything you said about this drama is on point. The osts are amazing, directing and script is well done. Since the author is the scriptwriter for the drama, it really brings out the book into actions.

Just saw ep 17 and 18, and I hope Ms. Yu don't wake up. Does anyone know if there's some bromance in here, or will it just be strictly friendship? Is the novel translate somewhere? I like the three leads, their interactions are correlated so well, and funny. I like our MC, Tang Fan--He basically has a connection with all the characters on here, the way he interacts with them makes the drama easy to watch, and never boring.

Loving it so far in EP 16^^!!! There better not be a romance for Sui ZHou. We don't need another female character, such an eyesore.

Not sure what you like, but if you haven't watched Nirvana in Fire---You should definitely watch it!! It's so good.!! Check out The Disguiser and Rise of Phoenixes. Sword Dynasty, Joy of Life, Princess Agent, and Goodbye My Princess----These are some good ones^^.

I'm not there yet, but for sure will cry a bucket of tears when I get there :(.

The main ost at the beginning is soo good!! I love the osts in this drama. I cannot stop listening to the main ost!!! I wish I understand the meaning in a deeper meaning. If anyone can please explain what it means, that would be great! :)

I agreed!!! CFT eyes and smiles towards SXR just makes you melt. It's so intimate and warm. I would never look at my best friend like that, let alone a friend. CFT loves SXR, everything about him makes CFT smiles and he always in a good mood when he is with SXR :).

Loving this drama, plot, characters, and script. Everything is never a bore. The interactions between the ML and MC is so cute and funny. MC is a little clumsy and loves to eat; I always laughed when he eats food or something to do with food :). Darren is definitely Tang Fan, and Mo is good as Sui Zhou too. WZ Eunuch is interesting too, he's mysterious, calculated and smart. The three of them working together to solve the cases are interesting to watch. Their interactions so funny and never a dull moment to see them appear on the screen.

Right!!! I feel like there is something exciting about BL novel/story-line that sometimes is better than non-BL novel. These days, I can't even bring myself to watch non-BL even if the actors I like is in there.

If you find something, please me know that. I have been looking for it. The script is so good, I'm sure the novel is as great!!!

I like her too. Even when she is mad at CFT, I don't hate her. I know she have her reasons. She is a good wife, sis-in-law and boss lady. She treats her loved ones nice, and her servants love and respect her.

I saw this drama awhile back but was iffy about watching it since it was based on opera. A genre I normally don't care for----But boy was I wrong!! I give this a chance, and I was s glad that I did. I have come to love the characters, especially the OTP. You can see their genuine and love each other. Their friendships/bosom friends for each other is so sweet and kind. It's rare to have a bosom friend, and when you find it in each other---It's just amazing. This drama has everything; production, acting, script, directing, set and costumes! The osts are amazing as always, with Chinese osts. They always have awesome osts. I'm so in love with the main ost, and it's on replay all day! I know this drama is based on a BL novel, but you can't deny the eyes and smiles flirting here and there between the OTP. It's so amazing to see CFT and SXR communicate through their eyes and smiles. It's so subtle, but you can see they deeply care for each other. The way CFT looked at SXR just gives me butterflies; that is no way a friend is looking at another friend; even if they are best friends. Forgot which episode, but love that part when CFT saw SXR in his transformation and he just couldn't believe how beautiful SXR looked in his costumes, and he is always impressed and wow at his performances. You can tell CFT loves ZXR, even if the drama implies they're only friends. He supports SXR because they shared the same vision and love for Peking Opera. I feel like this BL adaptation, you can see more intimate moments between MC and ML. Their eyes and body language say a lot about how they care for each other. I can't get enough, and I'm sure I'm going to miss this drama and the characters when it ends. Highly recommended!!

Love this drama. The plot, acting and osts were all amazing. This drama breaks your heart, but such beautiful storyline.
